I'm not sure we don't see Zadina at RW1 at some point. It'll be interesting to see how they break down top 6 (6 forwards are obvious). I'm sure we'll see some adjusting but Raymond and Larkin had clear chemistry so im glad at least we are riding that to start
Probably thought we had better options bottom 6 and once Raymond established himself we didn't have an opening anymore top 6
Roster set at 23, not sure what Rowney brings but I'd guess he's the healthy scratch most nights so makes sense he's up instead of a younger guy Think I would have preferred Veleno to Namestnikov, Gagner and even Stephens, but they don't have options and I'm sure he'll be up first injury.
Espn+ with a VPN going to save me having to pay some expensive streaming this year just to get Bally's
I swear I never looked, buy when I read this I thought, "great...I'm sure Pittsburgh and TB will be very happy". Then I just flipped on the tv and checked to see who was playing. Yep.
Am I the only Detroiter that just watched CBC (and PASS/50/FSD)? Have minimal emotional connection with ESPN hockey though it’ll be great to have the additional availability.
No pressure rookies, you just have to face the Lightning tomorrow after they got embarrassed in front of the entire world.
I would replace Erne with Rasmussen, but I like the PP groups. Mo feeding Hronek for some bombs isn’t a bad call.
My guess Berggren - Veleno - Barber Hirose - Crisculo - Tyutayev Elson - Pearson - Verbeek Yan - Curry - Shine Sebrango - Newpower Lashoff - Murphy Renouf - Witowski McIssac and Barton draw in if they are ever healthy Pickard Brattstrom
Hopefully Eemil Viro, Albert Johansson, and William Wallinder make it over to NA next year. Tuomisto doesn’t seem like he’ll need another year in college either.
I think Johansson is a lock. Wallinder probably needs another season in Sweden, but Viro could make it over.
I think Edvinsson could make the Wings out of camp next season. I am not sure if we move up his development that quickly, but I bet he is in Camp at a minimum. Soderblom probably comes over next season and plays for GR.
He just needs to be good enough to play on a third line then you can slap him in front of the net on the PP a la Tomas Holmstrom.
Vasilevskiy is 12-0-0 lifetime vs. Wings with a 1.77 GAA and .938 save pct... going to be a fun night lol
What's the expectations for this season? With how terrible they've been and living out of market I haven't paid attention the team at all for the last four years. Now that it seems a ton of games will be on ESPN+ I'll watch them pretty regularly.
Expectations for me are bad but not worst in the league bad, maybe 5th-10th worst team in league and hope young guys look good. Vrana being out 4 months really dampened my hopes of anything better
I feel like I've been saying it a couple years now, but it wouldn't shock me to see Larkin to a nice step forward this year. He's got too much talent and I think the system and lack of talent around him has hurt his development. As talent level on this team rises I expect he will keep getting better
