In need of a desk for my home-office. I spent 15+ minutes scouring this thread & post history. Pretty sure what I seek originated from NYGator, but I cannot find it
I barely made it. It just fits in my office and only by one desk being over the other, which actually works out well.
I need to get rid of some shit so I can get a more basic L desk that consumes space more efficiently. I’ve got too much damn shit.
Best thing I ever did. Honestly I live in my home office and it was basically a hodge podge of shit. One day I was like what the fuck am I doing, and just ordered everything. So happy I did it.
I'm in the last stage of interviewing for my next role. I will consult you when I get the promotion as it will be home-office based with web conferencing required. Also gonna need a few trophy shelves for the whiskey display too. Obvi.
In order to make room for all of the bottles you are sending me, I moved my humidor out of the office. Was able to make room for 16 more bottles in my cabinet.
I ordered an uplift desk on May 5 and it’s been continually back ordered. Just got the update for July 23 but will probably get bumped again.
I would imagine the pandemic has created a huge demand for at home work spaces. That sucks. I was torn between this and the uplift. Can't go wrong with either.
ha. I was about to post that due to the color characteristics of your neighbors roof, that you were likely in Houston.
Random Q: How much does it cost to outfit one's home for home charging. A range is fine as I know you can get different capacity batteries. I think an acquaintance told me ~3 years ago his was like $5k.
I’ve seen a few videos and stories where power companies offset if you feed back to their grid. I’m also curious on the cost.
Picking up tennis. Wife gifted me lessons for Father's Day and I needed proper shoes. Next step will picking a racquet after trying a few out.
Enjoy. Tennis is a fun sport, but can be frustrating too, which I guess probably applies to all solo sports.
I think their quote was roughly 14k before install. Buddy of mine had the same order (2 batteries) installed February 2020 and he said his was about 16k including install. This doesn’t include 26% federal rebate or any state incentives.
I've been playing for a couple of years now. It's a great sport, once you feel confident enough join a league.
I've wanted to take it up for a couple years now, but kept delaying due to kids. Glad my wife gave me to push I needed to just do it for myself. I'm pretty excited.
Ended up getting the Plantronics Voyager 5200 Blue Tooth Headset. Seems pretty good so far. It is loud as hell at my office so when I'm not on the phone I put airpods in and white noise on blast. Then when a call comes in I throw on my headset. It kinda sucks but I can't operate without drowning out all the noise. Walls in my office really thin. Maybe there is sound insulation stuff I can buy to help.
It’s a multimedia server that you can share with people. Pretty amazing actually. I have 13k movies and 2500 TV series...more than Netflix. We talk about it in the torrance thread.
Never really played tennis other than fucking around a couple time a year. My wife has gotten into it and went to a margarita couples mixer a couple weeks ago. Played in the shitty bracket and somehow won. Awesome time. Played in men's night out last week in the middle tier group and didn't fare as well but still had a great time. Think I'm going to get into it. Has anyone read "the inner game of tennis"? More of a mental approach that is read by those in other sports and corporate execs. Really cool book and it's affecting my golf game positively as well. Highly recommend.

I have these. Be careful af if you have carpeted stairs until the soles are a little roughed up. You’ll bust yer ass.
