Arch is about to be sponsored by a bunch of random nightclubs and restaurants if Texas keeps up these "dirty pool" tactics.
The texas pride for paying a shit load of money for mediocre product is so hard for me to understand. They are so proud of getting fucked over. Again and again and again.
last year was shit but they also just had the number one player from 22 transfer who also happens to be a qb and sark has recruited insanely well for 5-7. Also return a top 5 rb and a top 10ish wr. If he can’t win with that then he probably sucks
A recent report that the Top247’s No. 1 recruit Arch Manning is down to two schools is not true, his father Cooper tells 247Sports. In fact, because of some regime changes at a couple SEC schools, there are actually two more programs prominently in the mix alongside the known contenders for the coveted passer from New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Manning still has a keen eye on Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss and Texas, schools he visited during the summer and returned for games during the fall. Beyond those four, Florida and LSU are in the mix moving forward. I think all six of those programs will get Manning on campus in the spring/summer. Clemson is the only program Manning has visited that is no longer under consideration
I forgot that 6 years ago I ran into Cooper at a restaurant in New Orleans. It was 4ish in the afternoon, we were having happy hour drinks and oysters. Coop came in with his kids and they were all eating oysters next to us. I wonder if Arch was one of them. 2 or 3 little boys I can't recall.
Was Coop eating with his kids or is he a serial child predator taking random teenagers to oysters and happy hour drinks Deep thoughts with Tiffin
Shocked that the sports radio report on Arch Manning from someone whose best qualification is "Heisman Trophy voter" was incorrect.
Id like him a little more if he went to any other school instead of Newman, but I guess I’ll still take him.
Fun fact: Cooper was coming to Texas and Peyton behind him until Mackovic screwed it up. Mannings have always liked Texas and they love Sark. The fact that his recruitment is still open I think is a good thing for Texas to prove Sark can move things in the right direction. I would think that Bama would have to be the favorite though. There is a lot on the line when Bama visits Austin this year. Hope we keep it close.
If Archie got all that shit back in the 90’s when Peyton didnt go to ole miss, I can’t imagine the reaction with social media etc if arch doesn’t end up there
Ole Miss people will no doubt pitch a fit when Arch commits elsewhere, but winning 10 games and adding Jaxson Dart will soften the blow a little bit, thank God.
Uh, as in winning 10 games this past season. Anybody that thinks they’ll keep doing that is crazy as hell.
I'd hope/expect it long as Lane is there. Or was he just finishing out the last of the bullets that Freeze/Luke left in the gun
In this day and age of the portal, etc, who knows? A lot of the guys on the roster the last two years were Luke holdovers. If Kiffin keeps doing well in the portal, I’d expect consistent bowl appearances (something Ole Miss has never had) and maybe grabbing 10 wins once or twice a decade. But frankly, that’s if things go without a hitch and Kiffin sticks around, two things that both have low odds.
How many SEC teams (including Texas) are all in Arch? Like is there a back up strategy at these schools?
