I don't disagree with this at all, but I believe this the first time in history (that I can remember) we have a DB lead the SEC in picks. Our DB play has been incredibly good this year and its left to be seen if that was more because of Carter's coaching or the players having raw talent, or the dropping 8 every snap we did for half the season. Probably a little of all of them. I don't even pretend to know if we need to keep Carter, but the kids in his position room played well this year for the most part. Even Clark didn't get beat a ton this year.
Next year will be Frankenstein defense. Thank god our offense is staying together, :eyerolll: malik is fast but he can’t throw worth a fuck but OU will use his as a starter.
Hornsby is now in the portal. We are in trouble if we can’t replace these people. Malik was going to be our QB of the future and was a great 2nd string QB. this one hurts almost as much at Brooks…
I liked Malik a lot, but we saw earlier this year he struggled to run the offense outside of QB runs. He is quick as hell, but has trouble with accuracy and reading the defense. I am curious how much Coley is pushing him for the backup spot. If you noticed in the Outback bowl, I don't think he even threw it once. I think it will be pretty obvious when we see where Malik ends up if we "lost" him, or if he was told his chance of getting playing time was limited. The primary ones I am worried about is Slusher and Brooks and if those are indeed getting paid to leave, well that is going to be an issue we are going to need to address. Luckily, Sam reminded the fan base what its like to win. I wonder how easily the Dallas Cowboys could put together some NIL packages. Is that allowed? I wasn't sure if they could do that. Otherwise Jerry could always buy up some random company and fund the athletes through that if he wanted to.
I think people overestimate the number of people willing to shell out millions for college players oil is up so the Aggies were able to
Apparently Jalen Catalon just went on Instagram and did a "Live" where he broadcasts live and answers questions. Someone posted the highlights on Reddit and they are below: Jalen Catalon went live on IG and was answering questions. Here's the highlights. Says Slusher is not leaving. Hudson Clark not leaving Had Joe Foucha on for a second and when a commenter messaged about Coach Carter. Jalen said "Nah, Coach Straight" but wouldnt elaborate on why they were leaving just said it was a "business decision". Said Carter just coaches them hard and that theyre grown men so he should, thats his "boy for life". Said he wouldnt have come back if Carter was a bad coach. Says KJ is staying with a what kinda question is that smirk. Says Odom is staying and he think Briles is staying. Says Burks would beat him in a fight but he wouldnt fight that man. Looks like there is more to the rumor of NIL deals being used to poach some of the players.
https://www.nwahomepage.com/sports/...fans-in-panic-mode-over-portal-transfers/amp/ Mike has some good thoughts on it too
Catalon is a psycho so not really surprised he went to bat for Carter and likes being ripped, cause dude does it to himself. I think Carter is a good coach, but you’ve got to build guys back up these days. Not everyone has Catalons mentality.
Good god LuPoor keep your freaks in Tulsa https://www.nwahomepage.com/news/ar...s1w4PAgoQ8EKPiJkDVNG0U-YyfSKiXwapEKVCVqvAVALA FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Graphic new details emerged in connection with the murder of a Tulsa woman after Tulsa Police interviewed one of the defendants. Brinlee Denison, 25, of Saplupa, Okla., and Nicholas Johnson, 28, of Tulsa are each facing charges of larceny of an autombile and First Degree Murder after the January 4 killing of Sarah Maguire, 29, at her Tulsa home. The suspects were arrested on January 5 at the Whataburger on College Avenue in Fayetteville. Tulsa homicide suspects arrested in Fayetteville A January 6 police interview of Johnson shed light on numerous details in the case, including the following: Tulsa PD officers responded to a “check the wellbeing” call at Maguire’s residence on January 4 at approximately 5:06 p.m. and found her unresponsive, lying in the living room, “with obvious signs of trauma to her head and face,” and was pronounced dead at 5:20 p.m. Crime scene techs documented and collected several items of evidence and Homicide Detectives conducted interviews with “multiple witnesses.” During the course of the investigation, the victim’s family stated that her vehicle and credit cards had been stolen. The defendants were read their Miranda rights after being found sleeping in the stolen vehicle in Fayetteville. They gave “a full confession of beating the victim about the head with a crowbar, fleeing the scene by stealing the victim’s vehicle, and funding the trip with the victim’s stolen credit cards.” Johnson stated that he and Denison were in “an intimate relationship,” that Denison “was also in a relationship with the victim,” that “he was introduced to the victim through Denison,” and that “he was jealous of the relationship between the victim and Denison.” Johnson confirmed that Denison was with him during the course of the murder and assisted in planning Shitty AMC Show of the victim. Denison assisted in getting rid of the evidence by throwing clothing worn during the murder out of the vehicle as the two were fleeing the state. Johnson stated that he and Denison “had sex in the victim’s bed after the murder,” and that “he could still hear the victim in the living room struggling to live, while he was having sex with Denison in the bedroom.” He added that he knew Maguire was not yet deceased. Johnson stated that Denison was aware the murder was going to take place and she collected “various electronics, credit cards, and items of value” from the victim’s residence. He said that Denison drove most of the way to Fayetteville and when she was not driving, she was using the victim’s electronics and credit cards to transfer money from the victim’s bank account to a money account set up for and by the defendants. Each defendant is being held on a bond of $1 million for murder and an additional $10,000 for larceny of an automobile. The defendants are still in custody in Washington County Jail and will be extradited back to Oklahoma for a future court date.
For the longest time we haven’t had players other teams want. Now we do. In this day and age of NIL, the university needs to live in the grey area instead of the black&white they always have abided by. Hunter said “the flagship” is working like its supposed to. Yes by having our entire defense enter the portal to get paid…. Live in that grey area where the rules aren’t defined and we good.
The kid has some wheels. There has to be a way to get him the ball outside of letting him just run as a running qb.
We should be picking up LSU CB Dwight McGlothern too and Tulsa DL Jaxon Player and HS commits from Kaleb James and Hasz should be a pretty good week. between us and OU from Sanders
He should be really good. He struggles a bit to set the edge against the run, but has everything you want in a pass rusher.
Player ended up committing to Baylor. Bit of a surprise but he’s from Waco so definitely understandable. We’re already working hard are two more DL transfers, one from Auburn and one from Miami
Jason Haselwood Landon Jackson Dwight McGlothern Drew Sanders two former 5 stars and two high 4 stars. All contributed to LSU, Bama, and OU. Just an insane portal season with more to come.
We are definitely going after him and Silvera from Miami have heard Pegues at Auburn is also about to enter the portal
I'm going to pretend it isn't true Also, I turned off LSU game and we won. I've now turned off the South Carolina game, so we should win. Right?
