The 2 on the right I knew immediately Far left took me a minute, hair really threw me No clue on 2nd from left
Gladbach holding a lead over 10-man Bayern, who will be missing Upamenco vs Union Berlin. Things lookin rosy for that bet!
Amazes me how poorly run some of the BL's largest supported clubs have been for the last decade or so. Stuttgart, Schalke, Hertha, and wtf is Hamburg still doing in the BL2? Then the likes of Union, Freiburg, Mainz punch above their weight.
Schalke fell victim to an unscrupulous owner using the club as his personal ATM to cover his Ponzi scheme losses after his dealings with Russian natural gas oligarchs but you’re exactly right, especially about Hamburg having no business in the second division. Mainz, Augsburg and Freiburg have it figured out. They’re small clubs with fanatical supporters. They know they’re small clubs. They have outstanding scouting departments and youth academies who identify and develop talent and then sell to fund the rest of the club’s ventures. They’re always competitive amongst the mid table squads and all of them are a bitch to play at home, especially during Karnival in Mainz or any special season in the Black Forest. I think if Schalke, Hamburg and Stuttgart would run their big clubs with a small club mentality, they’d be more successful. Instead they try to chase Dortmund and Leipzig, who both operate with much larger budgets.
The top 2 divisions in the BL draw over 95% capacity at every game. The money should be there from tickets and concessions. I know the league has rules about how much they can charge for tickets and food because they claim football is for the people and want working class folks to be able to attend matches.
Four 0-0s in a row has to be a record. That said, they’ve been pretty unlucky to not have more points since the restart (absolute ass beating by Leipzig aside).
Just an insane collection on the wings and attacking middle with Mane, Sane, Gnabry, Coman, Muisiala, Mueller, etc. Shit you’d have in year 4 or 5 of a FIFA career mode.
Fucking Schlotterbeck finally earned his paycheck on that last shot by Timo. That fucker was going in.
Because Dortmund are fighting for 1st? Schalke being bottom of the table doesn’t scream biggest in years to me
This was called a penalty and then the double kicked PK was allowed. This ref is going to need security to get out of Allianz
