At Publix, Wawa, and ABC the compliance in the last few months has been great. I can’t really speak about anywhere else but now I’m scared of non mask idiots at the grocery store.
Deathsantis is making an educated gamble that deaths won't increase enough between now and 11/3 to affect the election. Or that he can cover the increase up for a couple weeks.
my wife said the last few times at publix has been terrible compliance and previous to that if she didn't say something then no one enforced it
well this doesn't stop private businesses from enforcing their own rules, right? Just says you can't be fined or 'punished' from the government.
Yeah it is getting much worse I see more and more customers and patients just walking the store with no masks or the mask in their fucking hand incase someone says something. We had a NURSE and her husband and kids come to get flu shots, and they all had no masks on. We had them put on masks for flu shots because the pharmacist that day has a 4 month old at home. The nurse had no problem with it, but the husband grumbled and after he got his immediately put it down to his chin while watching his kids with no masks run around the store.
Yeah but as always what are the employees really going to do? I don't think anyone wants a poor cashier to deal with some anti-mask lunatic.
yeah they try to enforce it and get screamed at. They only say something if people complain at this point
Floridian here. Our 3 year old is home from pre-school due to contact tracing. Another friend's 3 year old at a totally different pre-school is now confirmed covid, as is the mom. A week or so ago a friend told me their grandson got covid from his HS football team and ended up with multi-inflammatory syndrome. But the good news is chili's is going to be rocking and rolling again so fuck yeah 2 for 1 long islands.
Work at a brewery in Florida, we just had our busiest Friday night since pre-covid... mask usage was probably 10 percent.
I think his point is, people left to their own freedoms are going to make bad decisions. Leadership isn’t helping.
All of our breweries are rocking but have a lot of outdoor seating. You must wear a mask while inside ordering.
Was talking to my mother this AM and she brings up a story that said a woman who was 102 died of Corona. She said it sounds like she was just old and died. I asked her, “So you were the doctor that oversaw her and determined the cause of death? That’s incredible.” She replies, “No, but she was old and that’s probably what killed her.” I said, “That sounds like some bullshit argument you hear on social media. You need to get off that shit, because it’s full of morons and develop some original ideas.” She goes on to deny being on Facebook and all that shit and spews some moronic bit about being intelligent and forward thinking. I changed the subject to, “Didn’t RBG die of pancreatic cancer?” “Yeah, it’s tragic.” I reply, “Yeah, she was old any way and just died because of that. The cancer didn’t kill her...” She is completely flustered and arguing that I’m wrong. My reply, “Do you see how stupid your comment was about the 102 year old is now when you flip the argument? It doesn’t make any sense. Get off social media!” I FUCKING hate what social media is. /rant
The idea that anyone dies before they could have due to anything is now just acceptable is beyond my brain power.
saw someone tweet about how if you take out pneumonia deaths and look at covid only, it’s only 86,000 deaths.
“Yeah Bob was in that horrible car accident where that truck ran a red light and t-boned him, but we all know he was a heavy smoker for most of his life”
Flu deaths also include pneumonia so if ur comparing u can’t take that out. They should have a measurement for expected years remaining on someone’s life and talk in terms of that when comparing to other diseases
That fucking imbecile just wants to be right so badly and really doesn't even fucking care about people.
