Yeah I am expecting to be a bit let down by the game ultimately but mostly because trying to program a game engine to support those playable characters and their various abilities and to be able to adequately capture them all seems like a bit of a challenge
There’s already a MUA game coming out for switch. I think this will be more alone the lines of a destiny.
Looks like the Spider-Man game. I wonder if you will get to always choose who your character is or if some of them will be based on the mission. I hope it’s like the Spider-Man/ Destiny free roam to get to story missions and not a straight play through.
Spider-Man is not the norm when it comes to video games adapted from movies, more often than not the end product will be meh, especially if its suppose to be a somewhat story driven game.
It was better imo because they encompassed the “world” of both the movie and the comics so it just felt much bigger than being tied down to the movie.
I wish they would have just done a Spider-Man esque single game for several characters that they built into one Avengers game. Imagine Thor free roaming in space with maps similar to the earlier Assassin's Creeds with playable cities (planets) and then fast travel (bifrost) between playable areas.
Just holding out hope they use the same flying type of combat like Anthem. Despite all of its faults the flying stuff was pretty awesome and taking IM or Thor for a spin would be great.
Who do you guys think is the female voice over of the trailer? Obvious guess is Kamala Khan. They love putting her in everything right now.
I've honestly never seen an actor mail in a performance like Jennifer Lawrence, and agreed there really wasn't one redeeming character in the movie.
Yeah that would be cool if they could design a game with a bunch of playable open world planets, but then people would complain about the travel time from one Galaxy to the next just to get to another planet across the map
That’s why I’m saying don’t do it GTA/RD style and do it AC2/AC3 style with playable focused areas and fast travel from place to place
But it would be funny to hear people complain about the massive distances of space even if it was between fictional locations.
I wonder if my grandkids are going to think it's weird I'm still bawling at the end of this movie in 2040.
It's not within reason to make a game on the scale you're talking about. You want *multiple* planets with proper open world elements? Games struggle to get even skyrim sized maps right with enough open world content where it doesn't feel empty and not just a walking simulator. The scale you're describing probably doesn't even exist in a PC MMO yet, much less a console game.
Also, although incredibly boring at release, I think there’s something like 100+ ridiculously detailed worlds in No Man’s Sky.
We bought it for my son just before he turned 5. He played the shit out of the LEGO Marvel games but it took him a few months to really get the hang of Worlds. He’s definitely a fan now though.
Meatball is balls deep in Lego Star Wars games right now, we looked at the Marvel Lego games but they were panned by critics across the board
Super Heroes was the first one we bought, then Avengers. He played the second Super Heroes for quite a while, too...but I think the first one is the best.
1. Would’ve jacked up the budget 2. This isn’t an MCU story so it would’ve been inconsistent and confusing
