I think its pretty great that Newark/Camden kids went from being qualifying risks to us having a Camden kid and 2 Newark kids as early enrollees.
What happened to this team? Since Iowa they’ve been ice cold and don’t even show fight, aside from about 6 minutes tonight and I guess the Wisco game. I get some guys aren’t 100%, but consistently missing layups, not going hard for boards (most glaring thing to me), and I’m not even going to count the FT fiasco, that’s some mental voodoo shit.
its all mental at this point. every missed free throw and every basket the other team hits completely demoralizes them. its bad.
The body language our guys have after the other team scores (particularly Myles) is the most frustrating thing. It's fucking basketball, they're going to score. Stop being a little bitch when it happens.
I really liked what Pike did with the lineup changes. I’m a big Mathis fan, but he has been atrocious lately and only played 3 mins yesterday. Also Myles and Geo looked much better. Geo at point really helped get the ball moving better. Young is a game changer, but has been getting a little Corey Sanders like trying to do everything wildly. Good win. Hopefully they keep the momentum up. Bardo seems to like us a lot, so that’s a nice change to most announcers who don’t even know the names of our players.
After a 2nd half of doing exactly this, him throwing up the forced airball to clinch it was a pure chef's kiss
He's attempting to push off each time. Geo & Mac just started pulling their hips back and he was pushing air and falling down.
11-6 (7-6) right now, how do we finish @Iowa Northwestern @Michigan Maryland Indiana @Nebraska Minnesota
Didn’t get to watch the game until I woke up this morning. If you had told me, “here’s what happens... we almost blow it by giving up 2-3 offensive rebounds every possession but our free throw shooting saves us.” :-/ (Okay so it was really Geo that saved us but still...)
Geo has to be top 5 in the country in crunch time, right? I don't know if I'd want the ball in anyone else's hands.
