it’s going to be tough for this season to meet my expectations. I can’t remember a second season I was this excited for.
It’s their most popular show. Gotta keep those subscriptions going for people who sign up just to watch it.
I like having the weekly discourse over a couple months. Otherwise it gets binged on the first weekend and no one talks about it after a couple weeks
Finished the first 3. Awesome Spoiler The deep having mental breakdowns over animals is and will always be hilarious. It was very interesting seeing Stormfront so callous and cut from the same cloth as Homelander. Should be fun seeing them feud. Excited for next Friday already The one thing I don't like is the fact that voicemails on a burner phone I imagine will be a big plot device. Though I imagine if I was in his position I would have serious lapses in judgment as well.
Aya Cash is pretty much a perfect casting for this show. She was terrific in the first three episodes. Also very pleasantly surprised at some of the directions the plot has taken so early in the season. A lot of shows would have drawn them out for an entire season.
Finished the first ep Spoiler raynor's death wasn't quite robyn-level shocking, but it was pretty damn close for me
Also didn’t watch any trailers so had no idea Giancarlo Esposito was in S2 which was a massive pleasant surprise.
mostway through s2e1 and i can't believe they named a character "stormfront" and had instagram comments saying, "stormfront will save america" gross
maybe give the writers more than one episode to get to an idea? For a show as conscious as this, you really think the writers just used the name Stormfront without understanding the implication?
Well, it LOOKS like a different character and backstory, but she showed her true nature at the end of Episode 3. Also, again, heart Aya Cash
