I completely forgot Trattoria ZaZa and realized I was being too harsh on De Vinci’s, it’s solid as hell and I love it ...power rankings amended
OK while we're talking food... I have an employee who's moving, and tomorrow is our last chance to take him to lunch. Four-six people, unrelated, so we'd like to eat outside. What are my Sunday options? Has to be after noon, per his request, haha. Downtown or anything within 2-3mi is fine.
Have been basically for all of COVID. THat's my one reservation...I think we've already been there as a group a few times.
this some exhibition? not on their schedule https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/team/schedule/_/id/2535
I wonder who will be the next Vestavia football coach since Buddy Anderson retired. Seen a couple of message board rumors that Niblett might make the move.
Might be late but Trim Tab’s Cake Therapy is one of the best beers I’ve ever had. Highly suggest it if you like any dark beers.
I realize that I'm revealing my cheap skate tendencies, but where is the cheapest place to buy these in town? Or any of their special releases that come in pint cans? I love Tony at the vineyard, but I give him plenty of business without buying a four-pack of these for $20.
yea that was my biggest Vineyard complaint when I lived over there. Love that place and the people but the craft brew prices were absurd
There is a really awesome rapid COVID testing facility close to my house in Vestavia. Children's Urgent care on 31 right across from Bistro V. They converted an old bank. You book an appointment on the app and they come right to your car and give you results 15 minutes later. Just something useful to keep in mind now that things are surging and you can have some peace of mind if you do go to any christmas get togethers.
i have yet to need a covid test but was planning to get one before xmas so this is very good info. preesh.
i'm going to go the week of christmas. you can just get online and reserve a spot the day before. i did not realize we had these testing options in Birmingham and it's right in my backyard.
Been tested once as a precaution before a trip a few months ago and did it there. Wasn't rapid at that point but it was still very convenient.
They do the antigen rapid test at some locations too, with the PCR confirmation. Had to take my family and my dad on separate occasions.
Gov. Meemaw has us continuing LOCKDOWN until Jan 22 (tongue firmly in cheek) People are being more cavalier since November, though, right? Or at least that's what I see. Stay safe, bros.
Is it the test that tickles your brain or one of the updated ones that doesn’t need part of your frontal lobe?
Macy’s/Sears side I didn’t go past food court to Belk/Mountain High/Foot Locker side that didn’t seem depressing last time I went. Macy’s side has a bunch of empty store fronts, closing stores, Macy’s is run the fuck down and the guy with an Auburn hat and ponytail looking at leather jacket gave me the creeps
Got Olive Garden curbside (don't judge me) Sunday night and could see that the inside was full. Tables right next to each other. Shit is going to get a lot worse before the vaccine is widely available. People aren't taking it seriously anymore. We are at record high hospitalizations and most people are lax about it.
The number of friends and clients in and around town that have it or are getting over it is alarming. It used to be this distant thing and now on a weekly basis people I know are getting it. Also which Olive Garden now that the Crestwood one is closed
