wouldn't be shocked to see it in the year after the quickly arriving release of the new consoles. New Xbox is in November.
Considering how cheap they are (definitely on PC, prob on 360/PS3 too) you should play at least Fallout 3 imo
hasn't been officially announced but will be in the next few months or at E3. Unless they have major supply issues it's out in time for Christmas. May be a new Playstation, as well, but from what I've seen those rumors are less clear.
i'll probably wait to buy a new xbox until one of my favorite series releases on it, like halo, mass effect, elder scrolls, AC, etc
first of all, FUCK, I just sold my 360 because I never use it secondly, I am gonna jizz my pants when they announce it, I am going to be glued to their presentation if it comes out this year, I am getting an XBOX One or PS4, no questions asked. still the GOAT game
Fallout 3 has the greatest of all time sound track. Busted out some of those Billie Holliday songs for my wife and she was so impressed my musical knowledge ran so deep. Little did she know I heard those songs for the first time not at a little coffee shop somewhere, rather sitting on my couch in my underwear blasting super mutants in the head with a shotgun.
Bethesda has hired Guillermo del Toro's production company to create a cinematic trailer for its unannounced RPG Fallout 4, according to the LinkedIn profile of a 3D artist contracted to work on it. http://www.videogamer.com/xbox360/f...tion_company_to_create_fallout_4_trailer.html
Right now, I think the kinectless one is $350 and the ps4 is $400. There will probably be a promotional sale around November that'll make them a bit cheaper, but Microsoft will probably try and stay cheaper since they've been getting beat in sales. That said, I doubt fallout 4 will be out before 2016.
Keith Wasielewski@BluestarNEO Ron Perlman @ Phoenix Comicon on Fallout 4: "I wish I could give you news on that, but I can't and I won't" with a huge knowing smirk #phxcc
Huge Fallout fan. But man, I sure would like to see Bethesda not release it until they work the bugs out.
Should be announced officially tomorrow http://kotaku.com/the-fallout-4-announcement-has-begun-1708434161
yeah, I would think they are announcing it tomorrow to ratchet up the anticipation for E3, where they will likely put out the first trailer.
From Reddit So, based on source code + source .css It is Fallout 4, and there should be a pre-order button on the site shortly (assumed when countdown is over). In the .css file there are a dozen calls to .png's with "preorder" as the class ... unfortunately all the .pngs are 404'd (haven't yet been uploaded). EDIT: Code shows it will be for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS4, PS3, PC EDIT 2: Provisional PEGI 18 rating EDIT 3: US RP although I have now found links to 18+ images.
well, I've heard there is a rumored 20-30 minute demo for E3, so maybe there will be a trailer... but who knows pre-order means out this year I bet
do any of you guys have a ps4 or xbox one and which one is best... go i'm sure there may be a few price drops announced at E3
I don't have either but I am Sony for life, will be getting a PS4 once I play through my back-catalog of games on PS3. Most in here will probably tell you one of two things - 1) if you play online or with friends, buy whatever console they have 2) If you don't do the above, get whatever system has the exclusives you want (PS4 for Uncharted, et al ; XBone for Halo, et al)
I'm loving my ps4. In fairness though, I've never switched to the dark side. I'm playstation fo lyfe.
I went ps2, 360... if PS4 was cheaper then I'd go that way, but it looks like the XBOX will be cheaper from here on out
Trailer tomorrow. Lengthy demo at E3 for sure. Obviously opens with "War... War never changes" before blowing our dicks out the back of our jeans.
Yeah, plus I believe they did a lengthy demo like this for Skyrim a few years back and it was released in Q4 later that year. I'm in the same boat here, as well. Been trying to skim through some threads on here to see what most users are on but it seems pretty mixed. Honestly, I'll probably wait until after E3 to see the price drop and (most likely) go with a PS4, just for the exclusives alone. Also, does anyone know whether XboxOne allows you to play used games? I remember reading back before they were officially released that Microsoft was talking about not letting you buy and play used games, but haven't read up on it lately.
from IGN According to documents leaked to Kotaku by a source associated with the Fallout 4's voice acting casting call, the next Fallout project is code-namedThe Institute. [1] the word "Fallout" never actually makes an appearance anywhere. The contents of the documents make it quite clear that the game is Fallout 4. The beginning of one page starts with “War. War never changes,” perhaps the single most well-known line in the Fallout series. It discusses the main character’s great great-grandfather, who served in the army in 1945. Expecting that the bombs that ended World War II would be a harbinger of absolute atomic warfare, the narrator expresses surprise that it took until the 21st century for the world to end in nuclear fire. Though much is unknown about Fallout 4's characters, at least one voice actor has confirmed his involvement with a Fallout project. Erik Todd Dellums, who voiced Galaxy News Radio DJ Three Dog in the game, tweeted that it looked like he would be reprising his role in the near future. Dellums later confirmed Bethesda gave him permission to release the tease. [2] In the leaked voice-acting documents other characters are revealed, including another DJ named Travis Miles, a character named Sturges who is an engineer described as "a cross between Buddy Holly and Vin Diesel," and Preston Garvey, a character who The Player interacts with in the sample script. Also confirmed is The Player, which is the (player-created) main character of every Fallout game. In casting calls both a male and female version of The Player are indicated, and both begin in a cryogenic chamber, perhaps similar to those seen in the Fallout 3 Mothership Zeta DLC mission Among the Stars. According to the leaked Fallout 4 documents, Fallout 4 will be set in Boston. This area has been referenced in prior Fallout games. In the Fallout 3 side quest The Replicated Man, players encounter a scientist named Dr. Zimmer who comes from The Commonwealth, a "war-ravaged quagmire of violence and despair" where he notes he and his colleagues created androids that have escaped and are running wild. Zimmer also references The Institute, which is presumably a post-apocalyptic version of MIT. [3] Another document makes reference to the Commonwealth Minutemen. [4]
Heard about this earlier today but saw a retweet from bethesda with the link. I got giddy like a school girl when I saw "Please Stand By." I. CANNOT. FUCKING. WAIT.
I'd really like to see TES and Fallout series get better combat mechanics. I guess that's just impossible with how big the maps are?
They're rpgs, it's not meant to be the central part of the game. And I think they do a good job, considering most rpgs utilize turn-based combat. I think TES and Fallout still use turn-based, but its part of a significantly more advanced equation than say a Final Fantasy game or something of the like. But I could be wrong on that, I'm not real knowledgeable on how they develop the game.
Do yourself a favor and pick up a used copy of 3. New Vegas was a lot of fun, but 3 is, as everyone would likely agree, a much better story. I didn't really think so at first, but I played 3 in the fall and New Vegas over the winter and after having some time to let them stew, 3 is better. And I didn't even have all the DLCs. Think I may replay 3 before 4, since I really stuck to mainly the story in 3 rather than really exploring.
