Has anyone ever played the GOT Board game? I bought it a long time ago, but never got a group to play it - it's pretty intimidating when setting it up and going through the rules book but once you get going it makes sense and it is a lot of fun. Finally got a game together the other night and it is a lot of fun, like Risk on crack. If you are into that sort of thing I recommend giving it a try. My friend found a website, thronemaster, when you can play it on-line either live or a slow game. Does anyone play on there, I'm just starting but would be nice if we could get a TMB game going.
I own it. Only played it about 4-5 times. It does say 3-6 players but it's much much better with 6. That said it's really entertaining as there's a whole bunch of strategies to win. Reminds me of Catan meets Risk with side games/bidding.
I used to play it all the time, but it's hard to find people willing to dedicate that much time into a board game. I really like it though
I still haven't broken out my Game of Thrones Risk game. I need to get some people over to the house to play it.
Game is amazing, my wife and I play an alt 2 player version, we love it They also have 2 alternate decks, the DwD version is pretty sweet, has Jon in it under Baratheon.
Suppose as Stannis was at the wall while he's LC, he's the 3 and his ability is changing the wildling token up or down. Mance is the 0; his ability is to take the current wildling token as his final combat strength, so he and Jon are nice tandem for smaller battles
I'm working on a write up for my 2 player version, actually have a couple of them, will post once finished. But i write about as quickly as GRRM so... In my latest we use all 6 houses, 2 of which are ally's and you get to place 2 of their support tokens, but their army's are all stationary. Wish I had more time to play and/or my wife would just take her turns more quickly. Takes her like 20 minutes to play her tokens... always say i love you babe but holy fuck...
I'd like to see your write up when it's done. Is I'm sure it's not as fun, but I can seldom get enough people to play the game
Played 4 times in the last 3 weeks. Even with everyone knowing their shit the games are at least 2 hours long. Super fun though
Looks like I'll final write up my 1 v 1 rules so I can play this, looks pretty bad ass. New board that includes Essos https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2018/8/3/mother-of-dragons/
