Some of my especially loved songs: "Say No To This", "My Shot", "Wait For It", "Yorktown", "Satisfied", "Guns and Ships" and all 3 of the king's break up songs.

Going to Broadway soon (if not already) and later expanding to LA and Chicago.

I listen to the CD at work once a week or so. Awesome concept and so well done. Really wish it was available on DVD. Wife told me recently that they are going on tour in 2017.

It was a no brainer to put that line in because that is something Hamilton would absolutely say. There’s a lot of ‘90s references in that opening tune; it’s the stuff I grew up falling in love with.

Hamilton is just like a ‘95 Prodigy. “Shook Ones Pt. II” by Mobb Deep is one of my favorite hip-hop tunes period.

We actually have violins go mimic the sirens in the track, which doesn’t make sense at all with the rest of the music, but it does when you consider the fact that we were trying to embody the sound from “Shook Ones Pt. II.”

Awesome show. Crowd was rowdy the whole time and heads were bobbing throughout.

King George kills it. The dude who plays Lafayette/Jefferson was amazing too.

    I highly recommend it.

Love the soundtrack and hope to see the show someday. Big fan of Mr. Hamilton. Argue with a buddy all the time about how much more important he was to our country than Jefferson, that frog-loving hippie.

that would make a fun thread

because both are incredibly important and them being on opposite sides led to division of powers in current government. Jefferson gets used as political capital all the time but his ideas don't really exist in totality in either party, Hamiltons not really either. In modern politics they'd be odd men out.

Random question....and I'm not sure if anyone here will even have an answer. But, I've seen the pieces on "60 Minutes" and other national shows about this musical...the director seems brilliant. I'm interested in what he will do as his next idea. It almost seems like he's "stuck" for lack of better words with the most popular show. So, at what point can he move on and try to start something new?

Don't know that I can name any song as a favorite, but I'm really enjoying "You'll Be Back" and "What Comes Next?" King George is pretty comical in his songs.

If you like Hamilton, you might also like Into the Heights, also written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Miranda leaves to begin work on new projects, which include starring alongside Emily Blunt in Disney's Mary Poppins Returns.
