I am in no affiliation with bein a hip-hop head. This is the first time I even opened this thread, thought Id throw a guy out there that virtually nobody's heard of. Dont like it, fine with me. But yes I stand by YB n Juice the best 2 on the WC right now.
I'll do it again right now. Lil Wayne Big Kuntry King Jay Bottomz Willy Northpole Reed Dollaz Tony Yayo Lil Scrappy Ricky Jewels Hurricane Chris Izza Kizza I'm willing to bet that 80-100% of that list is garbage.
whose juice? its cool you dont have to be a hip hop head but dont call 2 guys the best in the west without mentiong murs, evidence,Blu or defari or even fashawn. It would be like me saying "hey i dont watch ACC football but NC State is the best team in the conference".
Then he's a biter and you're lame for not knowing who the real Juice is. Dude is the illest freestyle artist alive. He and Supernatural had the most talked about battle ever (was there. actual battle, not on records). MC Juice wake up show freestyle supernatural emcee juice cypher part 1 supernatural emcee juice cypher part 2
Murs and Evidence.....you serious? There are 4 more talented rappers in the LL crew alone then Murs.....im sorry but calling a guy out when you clearly arent watchin your "ACC football" is ridiculous
yea, you're fucking retarded if you dont think murs is dope or a 16 year old white girl. pick one either way you suck
grouch and eligh? you mean those white dues who use autotune but think its cool cuz they're underground? yea and sunspot is nothing special i mean he started the group and still hasn't outshined murs, hes better off sticking to mystik journeymen he's best at setting shows up not tearing them down, and im glad you didnt bring luckyiaim cuz i would have e-smacked you. Murs is the best in LL.
While dope, none of those guys have made anything that come close to Brotherly Love, And This Is For, The Animal, L.A. or any of the countless bangers Murs has put out.
Dude no love for LL??? You might think Murs is hella tight, but to say the rest of LL is weak?? Come on?? I been listening to all of the LL, Hiero, Saafir since i was a teenager and you were still in kindergarten (no joke...you would been like 5 yrs old back in the early 90's)..talkabout legendary wake up show battle CASUAL VS SAAFIR..ill vouch for all their talents....been sold on them for over 15 years now is, seen them live hundreds of times before and always a great show
SPEAKING OF SAAFIR.....lets see if anyone besides Eliporter remembers this Saafir joint from Richmond,Cali Saafir - Light Sleeper
Speaking of SAAFIR, here is a Whoridas joint from back in the mid 90's that we bumped back in da Bay The Whoridas - Shot Callin' Big Ballin'
Agree with that. Both are off base with their arguments. Murs might have gotten a deal, but to say he's not legit is stupid. On the flip not one member of LL can touch some of the records that Murs has made. Does that make them wack? Not at all. I love LL and all of their members. As for Saafir... man. That dude is raw. Hate that they never followed through with the Golden State shit. Would've been dope.
For the Bay Area Peeps and for anyone in the Nationthizzlam or got your Thizzle dance...here is mid 90's classic w/Mac Dre Mac Dre - Twist Of Funk (1996) The Rompalation, Vol. 1
Slug and Murs............listened to this song this weekend at bar....forgot how much i liked this joint Woman Tonight ~ Felt (Slug and Murs)
Gonna drop this one right here in hopes u guyz will give me a serious 1-10 rating on this dude. I will give u the backstory later. For now, its Cy-Harp Official Take Money Video by CyHarp
I'll take the heat for this guy. I showed him to this thread. Didn't know he'd be putting up shit like this.
I'm not trying to be mean or anything... but that just wasn't any good. Bad flow, bad lyrics, and an annoying beat.
I totally agree its not good at all, jus curious to see wat ppl who didnt kno him would say. Cuz he gets alot of luv back home bein the only "rapper" from our hometown. Also, that beat is from Big Tuck-Not a stain on me..
Tell me i'm not the only one who's heard of 5 elementz? The group with Dilla, Proof, Thyme, and Mudd. The Album That Time Forgot is an underground classic.
people would get mad if i went into that lame ass non rap thread to ask if they thought lil wayne was a good rockstar...
I know. This lengthy thread of the same three people arguing over whose the better rhymer isn't lame at all.
its not that im calling that music lame (unless its that faggit metal shit) its that no one cares enough to post in it. i'd be embarrassed if i was the guy who made it, whoever he is. read the whole thread before failing at summarizing what its about or just leave it alone.
Eh, there just isn't the right people on this message board for new rock music. It's all recurrent threads about tits and action flicks. It's the same reason there is a 15-page Big Ten recruiting thread and a 2 page SEC one. There is a different demographic on this board. But of course you can make some faulty assessment of the music's importance [in the seemingly infinite line of faulty assessments you make on things about which you have no clue] and it doesn't surprise anyone. Then again, I have absolutely no idea what the hell you're trying to say in the last* sentence -- though I'm not holding my breath that it holds any pearls of wisdom.
ahh, here we go again, now i know how you were on the RB. That "I took a music theory class in JUCO" attitude just reeks of weimar beer whatever. I'm on the internet so I do not feel the need to be formal unless I have to for people such as yourself, who like to play dumb and insult another's intelligence at the same time. The second sentence basically means if you're not going to read the thread do not act like you know what is inside of it. Also even if this thread was about 3 people debating who the best rapper is it would still be better than that thread in which you talk to yourself about how cool you are for listening to obscure music for the simple fact that it is obscure. Nothing more nothing less. You can act all smart and shit about music because you listen to bands no one would ever bother looking up but in reality you're not. And besides you look like Earl from My Name Is Earl (if that was a real pic you posted sometime ago) and act like the Gillig of music. pretty played out persona if you ask me.
I like all of your presumptions on my elitisms; the same certainly could not be said of you and your tastes in Hip Hop I'm sure. Though I have no use of a persona...
I focus or lyrics in the music i enjoy. I have no idea what you focus because I do not go in to threads that do not involve my musical interests to spread my opinion
My point is is that you have refined your tastes in Hip-Hop according to the standards you've set as something that does the music justice and either advances it or epitomizes what you consider the good qualities. You don't have to either be verbose or "formal" to display the same elitisms that you hold me in such contempt for displaying about the music I love -- and you do display them. Anyway, I don't go into music threads that aren't pertinent to my interests and make my opinion known either, though I do read them sometimes and in this case I was directly referenced and responded to that reference.
