I know this summer is all about Mbappe and possibly chasing Haaland but the club absolutely has to address both fullback spots because there are quite literally no natural replacements for Carvajal or Mendy and it’s cost the team points numerous times over the last few seasons
that was a dull and uninspired half not even looking to exploit the space in behind on the counter, just totally content to play to a scoreless draw without the away goals rule
Kroos injured and almost certainly out for the 2nd leg against PSG With Casemiro and Mendy suspended and Alaba’s status up in the air it’s quickly spiraled into a nightmare once again
Great second half is right. They played with a lot of confidence moving forward. Eight points is a helluva cushion right now.
I'm guessing we say Alaba at LB and Nacho in the middle. Kroos healthy enough to start but we'll see how effective he's able to be. No reason to hold anything back tonight LFG
all three were care of PSG mistakes but still such a huge performance by Benzema to convert Modric was out of this world again today
I would buy a ticket to see a 2 hour feature length film of Luka walking around hugging & celebrating with people and calling Rodrygo a motherfucker
it's absolutely ridiculous that Benzema has passed Di Stefano on the scoring list and that he did it with a 2nd half CL hat trick before Ronaldo showed up Di Stefano was almost unanimously considered the greatest player in Real history and his goal scoring record stood for 40+ years and now Karim has surpassed that and sits only 14 behind Raul for 2nd all time legend
nice win to push the lead to now 10 points but have to pray that Karim's calf is ok and he'll be ready to go Sunday
I missed the entire match. Pretty dominant? I just saw the score and didn’t even see Benz went out hurt.
They controlled possession throughout but didn't generate any real chances until 60 min in. Press forced a turnover deep and Benzema played Vinicius in who scored and Real had a stranglehold the rest of the way. Karim scored a penalty and added a late header but appeared to hurt the outside of his calf somehow (maybe celebrating when someone jumped on his back). He limped around for a couple of minutes before walking off early and they played the last 5-10 min with 10 men. Rodrygo had to be carried off after a collision too. No idea if it was his knee or lower leg but he appeared to be in legit pain and will probably be out a while
