If the money was right, I think guys like Bogdan Bojanovich, Malcom Brogdon and Willie Callie Stein would fit our roster well. I’m not interested in seeing us overpay a Kemba, Butler, etc
Oh yeah for sure, I would agree with all those guys. I'm just saying there's no one on a top ten list out there that makes sense for the Hawks + would realistically consider it at this point.
Lotto day. If you could be guaranteed one (but not the other), would you rather: Atlanta gets pick 2 or 3 Dallas does NOT get pick 1-5
If we get a top two spot, you don't trade it. Morant and Zion are two sure fire all stars. At 3, you consider it especially now that there are even lotto odds.
Hawks fan of I told you your pick jumps to 2 but that only happens if Dallas pick jumps inside top 4. Do you take that?
Huh? Lol yes we can. Lowry and Kawhi make it work. Paul and Harden. Curry and Durant. LeBron and kyrie. You can certainly have two dominant ball handlers and make it work. As you know, once you're in the offense, it doesn't really matter. With the shooter TY is developing into, it'd actually compliment his game more since Morant seem like his development path would lean more towards a Harden or Paul type of offensive style.
Take the best available and make it work. Would be pretty amazing if for once we actually got lucky in the lottery and end up with the 2 picks
The thing is, outside Zion I don't see a player I love (or that I think the team loves) more than any other. I think Morant is the clear #2 but I think I agree with others ITT that we can't play Morant and Trae together. So realistically unless we can trade with someone, I think the pick at 2 might as well be 3, which puts us in the Barrett/Reddish/Culver/Hunter tier where you're rolling the dice on any of them. Not a ton of upside at 2 vs 5
We won’t take Ja but we could trade down for sure if we got 2 for someone with a Ja hard on. 3-5 is a guess
Definitely seems like Atlanta is intentionally being fucked here. What were the odds of us getting 8th?
So as soon as those teams outside of the top 5 missed their projected pick they were a lock for the top 4?
The lottery is only for the top 4. Everyone else picks in order. So as soon as a team is skipped, you know they’re in the top 4.
Jaxson Hayes or Big Bol? I turned to pulling more for the Hawks than the Lakers since Lebron is in LA. Was really hoping Hawks would get a top 5 pick to grab like Culver or RJ
Not Unless you are getting a top 3 pick out of it which we aren’t. Take 2 picks out of the back end top 10 and build on the young core.
