Hiura better be in the lineup tomorrow night. Enough with going with anything other than the best possible roster.
Blame Counsell for his overuse and Stearns for not having a better right handed infielder on the roster because as bad as Perez is he is miles better than Shaw against lefties. This roster is very poorly constructed and that leads to Perez playing way too much. Honestly I'm getting very upset about the way this roster has been handled.
I keep checking to see if we have made any roster moves but nothing yet. Stearns seems willing to sink or swim with Perez, Shaw, and Aguilar and it should cost him his job. Yes I am starting to turn on the GM which shouldn't be a surprise to you guys.
Nelson has been terrible since coming back and I wouldn't bet on him or this team right now the way they are playing. Then again I'm a pessimist so what do I know.
Put Nelson back on the injured list or let him pitch in blow outs because he is not a major league pitcher at this point.
With Cain in front of him and Braun right behind teams should just walk Yelich every time he comes to the plate.
Nelson is lucky that he hasn't given up 10 runs because he is throwing batting practice. Its going to be an automatic loss every time they let him start.
Two on with no one out and we send out Aguilar as the pinch hitter and of course he hits into a double play. Get this fucking loser off the damn roster.
I'm ready to give a couple of the rotation spots to Peralta, Burnes, and Houser. I've had it with the mediocre at best veterans and ready to sink or swim with the young guys.
IanC this thread title is bringing unwanted attention to our fine thread. Please go back to the previous title which was quite good.
This team is complete trash. Without Derek Johnson the pitching is terrible and we have only three good hitters. I'm ready for a full selloff which means making everyone available even Yelich and Hader.
He has Cincy with the 3rd best ERA in baseball and they sure as heck don't have that kind of staff. I have never seen a better pitching coach and we just let him walk. Hopefully some team outside of our division hires him as a manager after the season.
I totally agree that most of our pitchers have little to no talent but Johnson got the most out of every one of them. We have mostly the same pitching staff and only Davies has improved while a guy like Burnes who has a ton of ability can't pitch an inning without giving up a HR.
That I will agree with I do wonder if he left because the FO wanted to start the season with 3 rookie starting pitchers
I think he left because Stearns is too overconfident in his abilities and didn't think it was necessary to pay a pitching coach big money. He was wrong and we are paying big time for that mistake.
Its not just the pitching. Besides Yelich, Moustakas, and Grandal we can't count on any of the position players to hit and the team defense has been much worse.
The pitching coach is the guy that was there for their development up the minors where they built the pedigree upon their expectations were built. Chase Anderson was getting bombed worse last year with Johnson than he is this year.
I read somwhere that Arcia's advanced defensive stats are not all that impressive. He is basically pretty average and with his bat that is not nearly good enough.
Come on with basically the same pitchers we are much worse than last year and Cincy has the third best ERA in baseball. You can't possibly think that we don't miss Johnson.
Besides Woodruff this whole rotation is guys that have trouble breaking 90 on the fastball and just throw it right down the middle.
