He's being tossed around for Cincinnati, too. Not as big of a job, but winnable and a chance to rebuild his HC reputation.
Have to think Kizer would go no later than the 2nd round. If someone as awful as Hackenburg went that high I don't see why Kizer wouldn't.
Pay is likely close, that is if we want him. A certain 3 years there vs. maybe 1 here could be the issue.
the only people who would seem to have influence are all in the bag for Kelly, so that doesn't really help things for the disgruntled fans. I don't think they should all just sit there and take it
i don't think the point was to rile up the students. the point was to get national/regional media pay attention to embarrass the administration.
Not that I am trying to defend Kelly, but he wasn't technically extended with that win % over the last three seasons. It would've been after last year when he had been almost .700 the previous three and .750 the previous 4. Don't disagree with one thing on there besides that.
I support the concept but god damn people have someone with any sense of style and formatting give that thing a once over next time.
Wait, so you'd sacrifice the third year of Kizer for the first year of Wimbush in the name of "QB continuity?" Every ND fan should want Kizer back.
I love that the grand scheme was a billboard and not one of those ndnation super successes could pony up the cash. So they took out a 50 dollar ad in the observer.
Yes. I realize that sounds silly but I'm tired of Kizer and the grass is always greener on the other side. Plus, Kelly is better with first year QBs and Martin/Fleck/Macintyre will be grateful to not have to break in a new starter in 2018
That's a wonderful idea. I'd pitch in. Is there criteria that has to be met before you can buy an ad?
Also watching women's cbb is like watching Jv. These two teams are 30 points better than the world and they are awful.
Uh, yes they really should. Fandom is not an interactive experience whether you're an alum, big time donor, or even a student. You are not part of the program and you should have no influence on it. Have your beer, watch your games, yell at the TV or on message boards about how everybody sucks. Know your role which is in large part that you should have none. Anything else is bad for the program.
Exactly, if this shit hits espn recruits will notice. It's nothing but another negative tic and has zero upside.
No. but piling on negative shit has zero upside. Kelly is staying, it's done. This is nothing but a few old fucks lashing out at the fact that ND is different than when they graduated and pining to hire a coach who uses a fullback.
Also ZeroPointZero this is a bizarre subsect of fans who credit themselves with getting Willingham fired. Fancy themselves as insiders and major donors who don't attend games because we play music not from the band now. it's bizarre. It's why I seriously want to take out a counter ad. This generation of ND fans needs to die. Disliking Kelly is fine, I have no issue. Being a 55 year old over entitled pos drives me nuts.
They sent a letter to the board of trustees. That was the catalyst apparently. It's a bunch of guys eating nothing but member berries and hoping for Holtz to return.
UConn should have to play with four players for two minutes per quarter Add some excitement into this
there seems to be building buzz on twitter about it too so leaning towards he's reporting what he's "heard"
A half page is $360 in the observer, I will gladly pony up and do the leg work just to fuck with people if you guys want to help. I've got half on the table right now.
Exactly, somehow someway Nd nation has this weird idea that they control the faith of Nd football and can make or break a coach. These idiots never did any good for this program, they all just like to give themselves credit while they are really just another small part of the problem.
I would not do that niles, I respect the idea but this is getting way too ridiculous and looks exactly like weis' last year when a dude actually bought an ad to shit on weis. I'm having some weird flashbacks right now, jesus....same shit different year.
I don't get the hate for Swarbrick. Look at the facility upgrades on his watch. Granted, there is a long line of alums hoping to slap their name on something at ND. He has also maintained both a seat at the table and independence in am era where the landscape of college football has changed quite a bit. UA contract has been good and NBC re-upped long term. He'said not an NFL concerned with only a football roster.
