I checked out on Our Thing after s2 because they were jumping around in the timeline too much and I couldn't keep up with all of the random minor characters
Found out Jad Abumrad is leaving radiolab today and legit teared up. Incredible run of amazing content. He’s (and Robert for that matter) are leaving it in a good place though so I’m v happy for that.
Haha so many moments where I'd wonder if I had already heard something because of how they rehashed stories and bounced around God bless, Sammy. You're true cosa nostra. The best. - every episode
Worth every damn penny. Just found out on Andy Daly Podcast Project they're doing an ep with August Lindt, HR Geiger, and guest Taran Killum. Get Andy Daly every week, and CBB Presents has had one-off eps of some great stuff. Getting way more value out of it than Stitch Preem.
I want to listen to the the new Cbb presents with tart and tarver Diston is rising up my favorite list too
There have been two eps of the Nwodim, Tart, and Tarver show. The first was outstanding. Second was also good but tough to top the first one. Tarver is unbelievable. I'm hot/cold on Ego on CBB (she can be so antagonistic) but she's at her best with Entrepreneur Tour eps.
I do like Kent Pavelka said. Worth every penny the presents eps made me lose it so many times. Randy Snutz and Entree PeNoir eps slayed me I’m not real big into Scott Hasn’t Seen but I’ll give it another try soon
Also not sure when it was added? But Overcast has an intro/outro skip setting. Really handy for podcasts with static intro/outro.
I apologize to the crew and the listeners that I was having legitimate breakdowns on air yesterday. I’ll be better tomorrow
Srs my fav eps are prob from infowars eps from 2003. Amazing to hear the same shit in 2003 as 2022. Really tells you just how batshit crazy Alex Jones style conspiracy theorists are never ever right.
Recently discovered American Prestige. It's a foreign policy podcast that is framed around how the American Empire ruins everything. So far it's not really heavy on that narrative, but it really is informative. They do a really good job. Highly recommend if youre into that sort of thing.
Two older pods I recently started listening to... 1. Queen of the Con -- Good con artist pod 2. Sweet Bobby -- Ridiculous catfish story
Finishing out Our Thing Sammy just said the fbi agents who had him under surveillance respected him for being true Cosa Nostra
I love the Our Thing podcast. Pretty sure half of it is bullshit but Sammy seems like he'd be fun to have a beer with as long as you don't end up dead.
Want to take up listening to podcats when I do my daily lunch time walk. Looking at podcasts that are around 45 minutes or less. No topic is off limits really, but I would prefer to listen to fiction (particularly horror but not limited to that) and informational stuff (history, science, etc.). Below is what I have added, what would be some good ones to add? Can be podcasts that are no longe producing content, that doesn't matter to me. But like I said, no topic off limits, give me your best suggestions please. 1619 Archive 81 The Black Tapes Creepy HISTORY This Week Limetown Lore S-Town Serial Unwell, a Midwestern Gothic Mystery Welcome to Night Vale
Name P. Redacted the newest Knowledge Fight with more deposition audio is glorious. This first guy that manages the article publishing for InfoWars is such a fucking moron. Like, imagine how dumb you think right wing shitposters are and then multiply by like 100. God he’s stupid and it’s amazing.
I really enjoyed that episode. Was really fun to have the lawyer in before and him saying “yeah these guys were dumb and I crushed them”.
I noticed parcast started popping up on my overcast again a week or so ago. Seems like a short run as a Spotify exclusive.
Yea this Kissinger series of Behind the Bastards is a great mix of info and comedy. It's what I'd recommend to a first time listener.
Got excited when I saw a Culpable update episode come out today. So far it is just basically saying that they got sued and stuff, nothing new related to the case.
Paleo Nerds pod is really good if you dig (heyo) archeology or paleontology. They regularly interview field paleontologists. Very enjoyable
The last one was with Robert Depalma on the hell creek formation in North Dakota. That’s the spot where they’re pretty comfortable that it’s from the day/hours around when the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs hit earth and all the evidence as to why they think that. It’s rad as hell
Just finished the Irish potato famine Genocide series on Behind the Bastards. Really good and learned a lot.
