One of my favorites was when we were still in the SWC, Darrell Hawkins threw one down against Texas where he started just inside the FT line, turned sideways, and did some nasty shit to the goal.
One step forward Bipartisan hate crimes legislation revealed for 2021 session Spoiler On Wednesday (Aug. 19), Gov. Asa Hutchinson, Attorney General Leslie Rutledge, a swath of bipartisan legislators, and representatives of the business and religious community announced their support for a hate crimes bill to be proposed in the 2021 legislative session. The draft legislation would create a sentencing enhancement for crimes committed “due to a victim’s race, color, religion, ethnicity, ancestry, national origin, homelessness, gender identity, sexual orientation, sex, disability, or service in the United States Armed Forces.” For those found guilty, it could lead to an additional term of imprisonment equal to 20% of the term of the crime; an additional 20% fine; and additional terms of probation or sentence suspension. Asa Hutchinson on Wednesday (Aug. 19) responded to estimates that returning students to in-class instruction will boost new COVID-19 cases, saying a UAMS report “ignores the reality and the importance” of providing the “best education under these circumstances.” New COVID-19 modeling published Aug. 18 by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences estimates daily infections will be “significantly lower” by Oct. 6 if public schools open with virtual learning only. Gov. Asa Hutchinson has said schools will open Aug. 24 with in-class instruction. Gov. Hutchinson said the UAMS infection estimates are “not helpful” because the method of modeling does not track with what the state is able to measure. He likened the UAMS report on a reduced number of cases with virtual learning as to there being a lower number of cases if everyone was ordered to stay at home. Read more here.
My MIL is a teacher and said they’re taking precautions and everything but she says she doesn’t feel that they’ll be able to pull it off. We’re worried because my FIL is very high risk due to his asthma. He has to wear an N95 mask to mow the yard or else he may have to go to the hospital.
assuming we have a football season with fans, what do y'all anticipate the demand for tickets being? trying to decide which package to buy. not sure i want to go to all games and don't want to eat tickets i can't sell bc of covid worries. but also maybe demand will be high with only 17k in attendance (insert chad morris joke)
People will buy up all the tickets. My in-laws are foundation members and I told them I would take whatever tickets that they don’t use and I’m extremely cautious about going in public other than work and getting necessities. The seats will be so spread out I don’t see a high risk of being exposed if you are careful of your surroundings. Makes me think that you will be able to sell tickets if you can’t go.
I don't think we will get very many actual games played. I won't attend any that are played, but I probably wouldn't have anyway
I went for the three game package because my fiancée went to tennessee. To be honest it fucking pisses me off how they needlessly moved already scheduled weekends around because I’d already taken off work for Alabama and LSU
Would also appreciate guidance on options for getting the donation deducted on taxes depending on what happens. Like if I don’t get any tickets I suppose I can transfer the donation into a different fund and deduct all of it. If I get 3 tickets though my Wild Hog donation can’t be deducted correct? I just get refunded for the other 4 home games that didn’t happen for me
idk if this answers everything but: ● For those who do not select any season ticket package: Refunds will begin being processed the week following the first game. ● For those who are allocated a 2-game or 3-game season ticket: Refunds will begin being processed the week following the completion of the final game included in each respective package. ● For those who decrease their number of season tickets: Refunds will be processed at the completion of the season. Keep Your Seats & Parking For 2021 All season ticket purchasers that retain some package for this year will be able to maintain their original 2020 season seats for the 2021 season. Football only season ticket holders who elect not to select a ticket package for this season can retain their same seats for the 2021 season as long as they maintain at least a $50 Razorback Foundation membership for 2020 and renew their pledge for the 2021 Annual Fund drive. also i called foundation yesterday. i asked if we decided to buy a package and then we get assigned seats we don't like what happens. she said they were told we could still get refunds at that point but not after 1st game
and fuck it I just submitted for 5 games. surely i can sell to some corona frat bros if covid gets worse
Nikki is the best. Comparing her to the rest of Arkansas' media it's no comparison, but beyond that she's just the best
Hello, spending time in pangburn. What is the old time radio station for grandma? Little red river fucks btw
251 students have tested positive for covid at U of A and Northside is having to cancel classes to “clean”. That help?
Fresh fried crappie is a delicacy. If they are big enough my favorite way to cook them is scale them then filet them and fry skin on. Usually just filet them though other way is a lot of effort
1.5lb fish minimum then those filets battered, deep fried. . I'll make myself sick on some Crappie. Nimrod Lake is good year round to get 2+lb slabs and catch your limit everytime you go out.
spring time Lake Atkins or Morrilton when its at 54 degrees (spawn time) you can max out in about 5 minutes around the docks/crappie cove in those places.
we have a place in southeastern slaw where you can catch 2lb slabs, we just use jigs around cypress trees
The Top Whatever: HOGS The Top Whatever is your weekly ranking of only the college football things that must be ranked. Sometimes it publishes at a leisurely afternoon ET hour, sure. Spencer Hall, Jason Kirk, Alex Kirshner, and Richard Johnson Oct 5 One good idea might be to go ahead and make sure the latest episode of Split Zone Duo is downloading while you read this blog. 1. HOGS, by Spencer Somewhere, someone destroyed a golf cart in Arkansas on Saturday night. It was completely justified, because Arkansas snapped a 20-game SEC losing streak and turned into something it had not been for at least three years: A functional football program. Functional covers function only. They’re ugly, the kind of ugly that didn’t even get 300 yards against a Mississippi State defense more than capable of handing them out. The Razorbacks didn’t do much offensively in the fourth quarter to guarantee the win. They even ended by punting on fourth and 36, a terrifying down and distance that had to have Arkansas fans seeing every single possible meteor about to hit them. Fourth and 36 meant Arkansas would have the punt blocked, or maybe they’d all have to watch the snap sail clear over the punter’s head and into their own end zone for a game-crippling safety. Maybe, 35,000 feet above the stadium, an engine would fall off a passing 737, landing on the punter just before he caught the ball. Ask any Razorback fan. Those were all on the table. Instead, the Hogs got the ball off, defended the final 25 seconds successfully, and won a football game. Having won a conference game, Arkansas has now had the most successful season in recent program history. That’s not even a backhanded insult. It’s a start, and that’s more than Arkansas has had in a long, long time. Now go fish the golf cart out of the trout pond. Y’all gotta celebrate with a quick 18 before dinner.
Today while eating breakfast I realized that I could have went and gotten slim’s tenders and then went and got waffles from Waffle House and had badass chicken and waffles but never even realized it was possible. That should help
