Watched a Jan 6 documentary last night and came away amazed that those cops weren't "in fear for their life." Weird how that works.

I’ll need you guys to bear with me on this one since it’s personal. My buddies daughter is a freshman in college but hung out with a dude right before she left for school. Turns out he is a stalker. Sends her hundreds of messages and texts a day and even found a way around her blocking him from social media. The family files a restraining order on him but when he is served, they drop the letter off instead of serving him. They end up in court and some of the charges got screwed up be issue of his laziness. He’s given instructions not to have any contact with her, which of course he breaks, and they file more charges. He’s been sending weird messages about how they should die together but one of the supervisors told the police who took the report that this doesn’t rise to a level of arresting the kid, even with the harassment and threats. I’m just putting this out there in case I need someone to bail me out after whipping this dudes ass. She is family but it pisses me off that she is having her life wrecked becomes the police were lazy and for whatever reason don’t see this little asshole as a threat.
What a fucking idiot. The shots were clearly going straight up and he had no idea what was beyond the fence. Dude could have been surrounded by 10 small kids. He had made up his mind that he was going to shoot the person with a gun and nothing else mattered.
Keep going to the police and hopefully one eventually handles it correctly. There are some good ones, just gotta weed through some bad ones. Try to escalate it if you can.
Was just coming to post this - unreal. https://www.yahoo.com/news/two-los-angeles-cops-fired-231014631.html
In LA - easily Snorlax Apparently if anyone can give a tip to the police on the location of a Snorlax they could probably get away with a nearby robbery.
Long story short: My wife’s sister’s ex-husband is a cop. My wife’s sister passed away from cancer and we don’t get to see our niece and nephews anymore. This morning she went to watch her nephew’s basketball game - basically the only way she get to see him anymore. The BIL wasn’t there, he had dropped off my nephew. My wife talked to the nephew after the game but that was it. Twenty minutes ago, we received a phone call from a sergeant in his department asking us to call him back about “today’s incident”. i told her that it was someone in in his department trying to mess with her and she shouldn’t return the call (or we should have our lawyer return it) but she’s freaking out.
They have a volunteer fire department but the police department has a tank. It's an incredibly poor town and that's how they spend the money they get from bullshit stops. Yet the town with no traffic lights collected $487 in fines and forfeitures in 2020 for every man, woman and child, though many of those fined were merely passing by on I-22. Total town income more than doubled from 2018 to 2020 – from $582,000 to more than $1.2 million – as fines and forfeitures rose 640%.
They go on and on about how the community should cooperate yet when it's one of their own they don't do it. A cop climbed on the hood of a car and fired 49 rounds into a car and killed 2 unarmed people and all but 1 cop refused to cooperate or testify. There was 50 cops there and they almost all refused to cooperate.
"It reminded me of Iraq and I was scared." Bitch you were in a school parking lot in Cleveland and it was 62(!!!) cop cars around 1 car with 2 unarmed people.
For those that haven't watched it, the cops formed a circle around the victims with their cars. One cop fired and bc they were in a circle that bullet went through the victims car and hit a cop car. So then that cop started shooting. It was a circle and they were effectively shooting at each other and then they all started shooting bc they all thought it was the victims shooting but it was really just these dumb fucks shooting at each other. This one cop had to be a badass and climbed on top of the car and fired 15 rounds directly into the victims through their windshield. He was found not guilty bc they couldn't prove one of his shots killed the people bc the cops in total fired 137 shots so it could have been anyone.
