I’m champions now bro, come at me. I can’t recall seeing jeans there, but I’m sure it happens. Saw someone wearing jeans when I drove by tiburon the other day and cringed.
If one were to join Champions any idea on initiation and monthly membership fee? Just bought a house nearby
I could only guess as the only time I looked into it was when I was trying to figure out where I was gonna join, which has been something like 7 yrs ago now. But now? Probably ~$10K initiation and around $500/month best guess.
The college kid on the left (@rustyshackleford) has a popular TikTok account where he drinks 12 beers at a time and gives reviews after finishing 4/8/12 beers. "We're lovin' what we're seein'" is something he commonly says.
Sooooo I bought clubs years ago. Bought corresponding wedges based on my PW loft. 3 years ago I was gifted from a friend new AP2s. I never bothered to check but turns out the PW loft was now 47 degrees. My gap wedge...is still 48. My dumbass never stopped to think that I hadn't hit my 48 degree in years maybe I should check the PW loft. Anyways, I am buying a new gap wedge. Ideally, I want it at 51 degrees. Do I buy a 50 degree and increase loft one degree or a 52 degree at deloft one degree? #math
I'm an 8 HC. Probably not. But I figured since I am buying I would get it exactly 4 degrees apart like all my other irons.
I'm trying to get a job at my club. My buddy works every other Sunday in the cart barn and picking the range. Free golf and a 40% discount in the pro sho. Would save me like 4-5k a year in membership and cart fees.
Well I'm a teacher so I'm home all the time in the summer. I'm not very busy in early fall either. It won't really be an issue until like October. October-May I'm never home and will probably give it up. For now she's good with it because my golf bill tends to be outrageous.
Haven't played it yet. A friend of mine lives out there and once owned the course. Since he sold it he said it's in bad shape. He's also a member at my club and at reynolds so he rarely plays healy point. River forest is really nice. I just haven't made it up that way yet.
I visited river forest to inquire about membership and it is a beautiful course and community. It's just too far from town to make sense for us. It's north of forsyth. Are you a club corps member? If so, we should definitely play there.
I am but they just changed up all the memberships at my club. They charge extra per month to play other club Corp courses so I'm not really sure how it works now.
Hit my LW thin and 30 yards over the green. Skull the chip shot back into the bunker. SW to 30 feet. 3 putt.

56°, high and past the pin with spin. Land and take the slope back towards the front. Spoiler chunk it and leave it in the bunker
If I had that wedge, I would hit it just past the flag and zip it straight back into the front bunker. With my 5 year old beat the hell vokey, I'd land it 6 ft right of the flag and watch it land soft like a cat.
Trying to break through this year into actually playing somewhat respectable golf, was looking at golftec to see what pricing was for lessons and accidentally went ahead and booked a lesson. Guess I'll take that as a sign it's meant to be. I took lessons a couple years ago that didn't help at all, I cheaped out then so hopefully this time will be different.
