Except he wasn't treated that way down the stretch. He fell out of favor it appeared. His game is speed. Speed goes first. I think it was a really smart sale. We will get one more in and Trippier was very competent last season.
Trippier is an improvement over Kyle in crossing, and that's it. I'm fine with the sale, but Trippier is not a UCL caliber right back imo.
I don't think such a thing exists. UCL quality right back is a bit of a ehhhhhhhhhhhhh, see Maicon; Taxi for (circa 2010). If Trippier didn't get skinned by Sanchez in the NLD he should be fine for UCL. But that doesn't matter because whoever is the backup will probably see UCL minutes anyway
I just don't think he's the same caliber player as the rest of our XI. Hope he proves me wrong over the course of the season.
I'm having the worst time deciding which player kit to order. Leaning towards Dier or Sonny, but open to all suggestions.
Dier from the official store. They're the only ones who have Spurs font and UCL badges, which is what I want. World soccer shop and soccer dot com both have a lot of Nike gear, but nowhere near the official store. Going to get one of the light blue long sleeve training tops, too. If I get a Dele kit, I'm going to try and find last year's away kit on sale somewhere.
Got a Dele kit last year. I don't have a Kane one, but I'm kind of leaning towards one of the Janby Aldertonghen
Winksy looking fit out here at training. We all know this, but damn 'Arry is clinical with his finishing. There's a bunch of players out here rocking sleeveless training tops, anyone seen them for sale anywhere?
Sounds like Matic to United may become official next week. Would be nice for us as it should end their attempted unsettling of Dier.
Stupid work and life responsibilities would have gotten in the way anyway. Just got my tickets for the supporters section behind the goal for tomorrow though, pumped
skrouse Hugo Boss let me know what the merchandise situation is like tomorrow night. Particularly Nike gear.
Decent interview with Jan. http://www.football.london/tottenha...n-vertonghen-mauricio-pochettino-usa-13368855
Another complimentary piece on Poch. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...e-they-have-mauricio-pochettino-a3593816.html
Nice goal. Just tuned in, the commentator seems to think you need an upgrade on your player of the year.
That Eriksen goal was dirty, place exploded when it went in, and Toby's was nasty too, both felt like they were outta nowhere in the stadium, no collective gasp before either shot. Our back line has no depth though, they got worked the whole game. Really hope Danny Rose can stay healthy this season. What's the status on Lamela? I know he had surgery, any time table on his return? He would def. be nice to have if we're actually trying in the CL
Davies did well the second half of last season but Danny when healthy is clearly an upgrade so I agree he needs to stay healthy. Right back is more concerning obviously with Walker leaving. Our defense has been lights out the past few years so I will trust Poch has it sorted. Lamela could be out anywhere from a month to the rest of his life haha. His health and timeframe for return has been murky ever since he first sustained this mysterious hip injury last year. Pictures of him lately show him walking around normally so I am optimistic we will see him playing by September at the latest, but really that is just a guess. Could be sooner or later. We're always trying in CL, just didn't do that good of a job at it last season.
Hopefully we quit experimenting with him out wide. I've read he really looks up to Moose, and Moose has kinda taken him under his wing as a result.
