Hudson Valley in New York won’t ship their sours when it’s hot out, but I’ve had other beers shipped recently and haven’t had an issue
How hot we talking? I’m sure you’ll be fine as long as you’re not in a super hot part of the country. I don’t think I’d leave beer overnight in the car here in Arizona if I could help it. But like some have said ITT, most of the beers your buying have been in a hot/warm spot before you buy it. Also, like most have said ITT, smoothie/slushy style fruit sours will be your biggest issue if you leave them in a warm/hot place too long I know Phase3 in Chicagoland won’t distro any of their Nectar sours unless it’s in a keg and they personally deliver it to a bar
Its Southern California where its around 80 degrees right now and will sit in a trunk with the weather around ~70 degrees overnight. Decided not to buy a full case and only bought a couple 4-packs (IPAs) so can count the losses without too much harm if they taste a little funky. That's a good point that by the time beer gets to someone's fridge, it's probably gone through its fair share of crazy temperatures.
Got 2 4-packs of the TIPA and a 4-pack of the DIPA that Monkish released today (with a couple cans donated to the friend who picked them up). Excited to try these and the latest hazy's that Highland Park put up this week
Haven't gotten an official count or anything, but by eyeballing it, I'm in the 120-140 range. Probably about 50 tasters that don't take up a lot of space
A little late, but you want to protect the beer from going through multiple hot/cold cycles more than anything. As others have said, unless you’re buying straight from the source, most all beer has been warm to hot at some point during its journey to your mouth.
I did a decade. I have no idea when to stop. Also found I have an extra bottle each for 2013-2016 and 2018 cleaning these out.
Another Trimtab winner That looks delicious. I might have to order some Monday Night for an upcoming beach trip.
Yes it is, had it before. Found it at Stein's in NOLA. My favorite thing I've had from Great Raft though is Oceans Between Us. Had a couple different version, but funky brett beer is my shit.
This was 10 years ago when I had to get 09knight to ship it to me from Florida because Alabama didn’t allow bombers yet.
They are all good, but my favorites are the What’s Golden and the With a Little Help. I guess I just skew towards the heavier IPAs right now.
