Stopped posting a few years ago I think. We couldn't change the thread title without him so remaking. Hopefully he's fine and just living a sfgiants fans of tmb free life.
So other than adding Cobb is there going to be any significant additions? Losing Gausman is big... thought the Giants would add some offense
im going to say it I don’t think Gausman was as big of loss, he showed his true colors second half of the year which was an average pitcher with good stuff sometimes…….I wouldn’t have paid him either knowing that you don’t know what u will get with him consistently………I think we’re done with big moves and will see a few more small signings which have been the key so far and rolling with our young guys
well when are they gonna spend some money? what are they waiting on? I mean I don't expect them to be the Dodgers but damn
Will Clark number retirement hit me hard today. My dad passed last summer and he was always one of his favs when I was growing up. We had “Will the thrill” posters. Scrolling through the content on twitter tonight had me pretty emotional, but seeing him and Kevin Mitchell together made me tear up. yes I know this is media rep with Kevin
Yeah I feel ya, that definitely brought a tear to my eye tonight…..like U said so many moments of my childhood that I never will forget
Can’t find the warriors or niners thread. What do you all think of just changing this one to Bay Area Sports and using this for everything? Also
I feel like the niners one is active during the season and lots of Niners fans aren’t necessarily Bay Area sports fan, this thread could be all other Bay Area sports thread
Yep that disastrous off season is starting to show on the field. Sign one fucking star FA, once, you fucks.
The bullpen is going to be destroyed all year long since we don’t let our starters go more then 4 innings
Zaidi just seems completely clueless about what to do. The only discernible “theme” is signing dodger castoffs. Like how is that a strategy?
I rarely call for the head of coaches/managers but for an mlb team like this, in a major Market, to seem so hopeless/pointless before the season begins makes it seem like there isn’t a plan. We’re not a team that contends but we’re also not a team with a lot of young talent we can enjoy watching grow.
Stripling was the worst signing in MLB that piece of shit gets lit up every fucking time he pitches…….that’s on Kapler for throwing that garbage ass pitcher and Mannea too he’s fucking washed up
shitty……the bullpen is the worst I ever seen at any level of baseball, the pitching is outside of Webb, Duval and Cobb is an insult to the fans……Farhad is a fucking clown
Well hey where is everyone? We are playing some fucking ball! Let’s get another starting pitcher, DFA Stripling and Maanea, and add a left handed bay and we Gucci
Yup they’re sure looking better than early on! How about Doval being lights out bulletproof? So great to see
how about him throwing 102 regularly, he’s throwing smoke ! Glad we are playing the young guys Bailey, Schmitt and Matos
The Farhad era kinda sucks, not just because we aren’t very good but because the roster is pretty boring
everything is so boring about it. No idea what the vision is there's not even guys in the minors or any young dudes showing much either. It's sad. It feels like we are the As without the prospects.
Trying to pump sunshine here, but if we did add one more SP like a Jordan Montgomery that would be a very nice 4 man rotation of Webb-Ray-Montgomery-Harrison going forward. Possibly the best rotation in the division when they all get healthy? Probably still the Dodgers but it’d be close. if we can do that and add a power hitter, it would at least give me some hope. Honestly would have rather signed a mid level guy like Rhys Hoskins than super overpay Bellinger or Chapman. I’m desperate at this point though so I’m fine with overpaying for a guy that at least has MVP upside. Chapman feels like the Longoria deal all over again
