lol Kadri is having such an amazing year, but someone is going to regret the contract they give him this summer big time. Like I could see him in the worst contract every territory if he gets max term.
Drake Batherson loves playing Pitt. Had a four point night against them in November and just notched another goal. Kids going to be a PPG winger.
https://www.naturalstattrick.com/pl...ne&fd=&td=&tgp=410&lines=single&draftteam=ALL Ovi has 2 less shots on the PP than the next 4 players combined, shooting a relatively poor PP percentage of 10%. They're kinda just force feeding him low percentage shots at the top of the circle over and over. Great for his pursuit of Gretzky, bad for a team power play strategy.
Oilers are skating circles around Fla with nothing to show for it. This game is gonna give Matheson lots of material
Perfect game for them. Battled and their kids continue to improve but take the L. One more high draft pick would be nice. Team will compete for a playoff spot next season. Won’t make it but will be very competitive.
What happened? They were killing it right before the pandemic shutdown and have basically been awful since.
I can’t look away from this Edmonton free fall. It mostly seemed like a meme but if they miss the playoffs this year I really could see him asking for a trade. The city might burn down if that happens.
there have been a lot of things the past few years, but this offseason they desperately needed to fix the defense and traded for Ryan Ellis, which looked like a good trade at the time, but he's only played 4 games due to injury, and Risto, who has been himself which is garbage. so the defense has been a nightmare. they have as much of a problem with the forwards, Kevin Hayes has had a completely lost season due to an abdominal injury. Couturier has missed a big chunk of games. Morgan Frost was supposed to be a good prospect but it doesn't look like he can handle the NHL level. it's just been a nightmare down the middle. they don't get nearly enough scoring from the wings either. Atkinson was probably the only offseason move that seems to have worked. Konecny took a big step back. Farabee hasn't been bad but hasn't taken a step forward. JVR is trash. they really don't have anyone else. I'm not really sure how Chuck Fletcher still has a job.
The rumor going around scouting circles is that he’d want to go to Toronto. Rebuilding teams with cap space are already mocking trades to be the middle man and eat some cap space
Same as down here. The issue becomes when other players are struggling, those meh 12 minutes become an even bigger deal.
Trading DeBrincat but not Kane makes zero sense. Id say Toews too, but he's washed. There cant be any takers
I think Kane still has value Disagree. Their prospect pool is shit. They need assets. He'll be old or too expensive by the time they're ready to compete again.
You aren't wrong, but the Hawks need a complete tear down. There is no saving this core. You have Debrincat as pretty much the only top line caliber young pice on that team. Dach looks more like a middle 6 guy. The defense is a complete disaster. They have no goaltending in the pipeline. Their best bet is a complete tear down. Considering the bad money they have, it will still be hard to fix it in the next 2-3 years. Debrincat is a RFA in 23 and a UFA in 24. What are the odds he wants to stick around in the middle of a complete tear down? The deadline/this offseason is the perfect time to trade him. Don't make the same mistake as Buffalo
Buffalo has been tearing down forever and they have been terrible forever. The hawks do need to rebuild but they’ll be plenty bad over the next couple of years but if you draft well, you could be good when debrincat is 27-28 years old
I mean yeah, if you have terrible management/FO, you will continue to have a bad team. No matter what your strategy is. Not saying they definitely should trade Debrincat, but The Blackhawks being good again in 3 years with no first round pick in either of the last two years and a pretty dry prospect pool is pretty ambitious. They could land Bedard next year and I don't think they make the playoffs by 2025.
This assumes that Debrincat wants to stick around that long. He's a UFA on July 1, 2024 if he wants to be. The odds of turning it around that fast are slim to none.
right. so the time is now to have that convo. The closer he is to UFA, the less you can get in a trade.
