I’m waiting for Quinn to play him on a line with Howden. Hoping for... Kreider-Zibanejad-Buchnevich Panarin-Strome- Kakko Lafrenière-Chytil-Gauthier Di Giuseppe-Howden-Lemieux Kratsov waiting in the wings. Rooney could play on the 4th line too. Lindgren-Fox Smith-Trouba Hajek/Miller-DeAngelo I’d rather see Hajek/Miller over Johnson Shesterkin-Georgiev
I heard Tage Thompson has a good shot at the C for the Sabre's AHL team. Also Sobotka has the C for his KHL team.
Even though it’s fucked up, the WJC is here. First games are on Christmas, headlined by the US vs Russia. Games are on the NHL Network.
people out there saying the lightning planned this to he cap compliant. Yeah our master plan was to shelve one of the top 10 players in the league for awhile. Hopefully it’s not serious but if it’s a bad hip injury, surgery is the best move. Point got that on both hips and was a different player the next year.
The Central is much weaker then I like. Good thing we have three unproven tenders with two rookie defenders getting broken in on the fly. Should help us land a top pick
Putting a few weaker teams together ensures someone will win. Glad my Sens are playing in the Canadian div. Will be fodder for the other 6.
5 Wings on Sweden, wouldve been more if not for covid. Excited to watch them. Canada will dominate this tourney.
with that format, they'll be just close enough to the playoff hunt to not sell enough at the deadline
Would have felt better about the US’ chances with Nick Robertson, Bordeleau, and Beecher. Apparently Beecher had a false positive, tested negative twice a day later, but still couldn’t go- and Bordeleau was his roommate so he couldnt go either. Sucks. Also would have felt better if the US didn’t do the USA hockey thing and leave Luke Hughes at home for stay at home, grinder type defensemen.

Yzerman is meeting with median right now. He said Detroit 8 games in the first 14 days of the season. This season is going to be nuts.
So in spite of playing a partial season last season (no refund or credit given) and a shortened season scheduled for 2021, the NHL is having Directv charge full price for center ice. Good luck with that.
The rutta deal might mean that Foote is a part of whatever trade we are going to be pulling off soon. Lightning now $6.2 million over the cap and Cirelli is unsigned
I think Cirelli is gonna want at least what Sergachev got at 4.8. (And honestly, he’s worth a good bit more than that, 44 points in 68 games with very little PP time or first unit time is phenomenal- along with being a great 2 way player) fans would hate it, but honestly I think the play WOULD have been to try to give Stamkos away for basically nothing else going either way. They’re gonna need those draft picks. Problem is I don’t even know if you could do that now with the cap being stagnant and teams as stretched as they are.
I mean they could try to trade Stamkos but he has a full NMC and he told Kypreios he’d veto any deal. He took less to stay and the team just won the cup and is expected to be competitive for the next couple of years. Can’t see him waiving unless things go south fast in the next year or two. Most likely outcome to me is still Killorn and/or Palat being moved.
