City/Dortmund tonight at 9 will watch for Pulisic but the lineups are incredibly underwhelming as expected
Yeah I’m recording and will probably skip around and watch parts of it later but doubt I watch the whole thing with that lineup
I feel sorry for mahrez. Welcome to city! Now play with a bunch of dudes with dreads that no one has ever heard of.
I remember seeing the lineup but I could probably only name like half the starting XI off the top of my head from memory
This is going a bit far. It’s the preseason tour. We all (fans and players) knew that the guys that played in the World Cup were going to be missing from the squad or at least guys who made it out of the group. That’s how it was in 2014.
I mean I don’t really see why it would elicit this response. I’m all for a circle jerk about American talent but a regular Bundesliga and UCL starting attacker should be expected to be very dangerous against a back line that the only one who got enough appearances to get a winners medal last season is a CAM that’s playing fullback Denayer did well at Galatasaray and is probably the best defender out there right now while Tosin is probably the best potential of the group but I think it’s a compliment to Pulisic that he’s expected to tear these guys apart
Mainly for me because Pulisic had a fairly rough year last year including some bad performances against bottom tier Bundesliga teams, so I think it's good to see him performing well against pretty much any competition. This ManCity team would compete and maybe beat some low level Bundesliga teams I think.
How long do they expect people to keep paying exorbitant sums to watch preseason games featuring largely youth players, especially in World Cup years?
Completely agree. I was going to go but tickets were way too expensive to watch two teams I don’t care for.
In non WC years it isn’t necessarily that though. City/Spurs featured pretty good lineups last year iirc
