Wifey ordered Azalea a new toy. She shows much more interest in this than the varsity ball. http://www.planetdog.com/orbee-tuff-snoop
Hey guys hope all of your 4 legged friends are doing great. Unfortunately my old roommate's dog had a freak accident and he now has to pay a shit ton for the surgery. Just wanted to post in case anyone had a spare ten bucks or so they could donate. Thanks in advance guys
Our black lab, found on the side of the road (3 years ago) in alabama, has a pretty big scar on his right hind leg. (we assume hes around 4 years old) never had any issues with the right leg until recently. He had giardia over the summer. they took xrays and poop samples...poop found the giardia. but the xray showed he had some arthritis in that right hip..possibly due to an injury before we found him...here recently after week take the dogs for a hike or they go crazy at the dog park hell come home a nap then when he gets up he favors the shit out of that right hip for the rest of the day but then is fine the next. Just thought id share this with yall.
I would try some joint supplement, glucosamine, etc to mix in with your food to see if that gives him some relief
I got my dog when he was ~8mo old. He broke the growth plate in his front left leg before he was found by the rescue, so he has developmental issues in that limb. He gets along pretty well, but does limp more so than normal after we go for a couple mile walk. No real issues at the moment for him, but I'm guessing when he gets older it might be a problem
He's happy now at 3, I just hope he gets much older before something has to be done. The vet said he has elbow displasia to go with his injury, but that shouldn't cause anything major. I'm worried about him getting arthritis when he's still young enough to be active.
my southern gal that we adopted a few months back has never seen snow or weather this cold, got snow last night and she was shocked
Just spent $600 to see a heart doc. In the waiting room I'm talking to another person also seeing him. Same usual dog talk. Anyways she said she doesn't leave her dog at the vet anymore when they go on vacation because they get anxiety. She gets a vet tech to stay at their house. I was cut off before I could say 'it must be nice being rich'
Hw much does your Berner love the snow? Ours goes nuts and strangely needs to take about 5 more potty breaks per day when there's snow on the ground.
There's been a few times we've had 2 feet of snow and just gives me a look like "WTF am I supposed to do here" Otherwise - he's good. I thought he'd not like the snow and cold because he's so damn skinny, but it never bothers him. It was 2 degrees when I took that video
Showed those to my daughter. Immediately asked if we had whip cream for Chloey. She was sick last night, so that's not happening.
first time watching my dogs in the snow it was hilariously awesome. they loved it and were going crazy like Truman was
I really dislike my girlfriend's mom's dog. It's a jack russell terrier, and it is the dumbest dog on the face of the planet and completely spoiled. It is deathly afraid of fireworks/gun shots and her mom lives outside of city limits so both of these things happen randomly and fairly often. It shakes, crawls under the bed, etc. We were watching the semi-final games there on New Years and the dog freaked out because of fireworks and her mom went and cuddled it in her bed to make sure it was OK instead of watching the semi-final games, and we're all Alabama fans. I thought that was ridiculous. Yesterday the dog heard a firework, jumped off the bed, and just shit everywhere. What can we get this dog to make it so that when I go over there we don't have to deal with this dog's anxiety nonstop? Xanax?
A- Never met a jack russell Ive liked B- have you they tried a thundershirt? C - they do make doggy xanax
On a ski trip. Dropped Maisy off at Dog Days and Moose off with a friend on Friday (Moose doesn't have all his shots so he can't stay at Doggy Daycare with Maisy) won't see them until late on Tuesday and it sucks
i dont know what ended up working if anything...but my inlaws Jack Russell was similar. Would freak out for pretty much anything. If you crated him, he would get so paniced he'd chew through parts of it and make himself bleed from it. Basically just a dog that couldnt be left alone.
