Anybody got any suggestions for joint supplements that are safe for dogs? Vet is recommending some for my dog, but she doesn't seem to really like the ones my vet carries.
i swear Paisley is a god damn medicine ninja. I could put a small pill in a ball of peanut butter, cheese, or whatever...and she will either a) ignore it and know it's a trap or b) put it all in her mouth and somehow spit out the pill like it's a watermelon seed.
Beaux has endless energy in the winter. He sprints and leaps through the snow all while trying to eat it. We also have this softball sized whiffle ball that he absolutely loves to bury in the snow and it just spins and spins as he digs at it. He comes up and his face is covered in snow. I'm sure I'll get a video of it soon.
Layla loves to just fucking chill outside when it's cold. I'll take her out to poop at 5:45 am in freezing cold weather and she'll just sit down and hang.
If any of y'all are in Florida, Georgia or Maine, and are in the market for a pup, please consider these folks - http://www.thepixelfund.org/ We have two animals from them, I know the owner/founder personally, and I have volunteered with them as well. They are amazing people and they do incredible work with the animals, I have lost track of how many "this dog was going to be put down in 30 minutes if we hadn't rescued them" stories i've heard from them. They also update Facebook about 5 times a day, it is a great way to follow any new pups they get. They rescue puppies, adult dogs, and everything in between. Can't say enough good things about them.
Blue Buffalo Large Breed Puppy for my 11 week old Great Dane Blue Buffalo Wilderness Adult Small Breed for my 1 year old Maltipoo They eat that shit up. Maisy (the Maltipoo) was never a good eater until we switched to Blue Buffalo.
Yeah a few weeks. I didn't really do any research before we got Maisy. I did a lot of research before we got Moose. I read a lot of good things about Blue Buffalo so I switched Maisy over. Took her about a week and a half to get used to it but now she eats better than she ever has. Got Moose about a week after that and he had had it from day 1. He is a great eater but I can't say if it's the food or just him.
The reason I asked was because my guy is pretty aloof to his food, unless another dog is around. If we have on of his buddies over, or he's at their place he sucks it down in minute. Otherwise, he just doesnt eat that much. Sometimes he eats his entire daily amount, some times he doesnt. Connor Norman It took so long for me to find a food that doesnt fuck up his bhole, Im not too worried about it if he isnt crazy over his food. He eats it when he's hungry, but he just doenst go nuts over it. When he was a puppy, he'd eat the entire bag if I let him. Dogs definitely get bored of their food imo. He'll suck down other dog food no problem. It just gives him the runs, so I stick with what works
Yeah Connor usually just scarfs his food down, but lately won't eat. One of our dogs is on a special diet, so I gave Connor some and he scarfed it down. So, I thinks he's just tired of the blue buffalo. Had them on taste of the wild for a while and they got bored of it too. It's been 3-4 months so I may just go back to it but try a different flavor.
Took Moose to his 12 week visit. Gained 11 pounds since his 9 week visit. 29 lbs now. He's going to be a big ole boy
I use Fromm Four Star Nutritionals for Scarlet, you can switch up the flavors from day to day with no stomach issues. Lots of great flavors, Scarlet doesn't need to eat as much because the food is better quality. I usually buy off Chewy.com and get free shipping within 3-4 days.
Can't remember the last time I posted pics of Scarlet, so here's a few. Spoiler: Nom Nom Football Spoiler: In Repose Spoiler: Enjoying the sun Spoiler: Sleeping with the enemy Spoiler: Scarlet's bestie, Lemon
I love this thread. Not in a good mood? Come in here and it's like a dog park. For TMB. The TMB Dog Park.
use this for both my guys and they love it. sometimes I'll add a little fish oil to it if they need some coaxing.
Whole Earth Farms. It's made by Merrick - but at a lower price point. But it's still 4* on DogFoodAdvisor. Paisley seems to like it just fine. Here's one link.. http://www.amazon.com/Whole-Earth-F...a_nav_t_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=1CDCPMP0H0W6DSQFHSFG
Don't have to watch the Super Bowl to know this is going to be the best commercial www.youtube.com/watch?v=aNN9nL2vppM
Mine is on it also, but he is not food motivated. He waits until later in the day to eat it. If we want him to eat sooner we pour heated broth on it...just a few ounces.
Came here because I received some good news. After 6 months of waiting, my puppy is officially due to be born on March 22. Should be getting him around May 22, just in time for summer.
