I imagine they moved NYE because of the absolute cluster fuck broadway was last year. I'm taking nye off from partying and actually gonna drive for uber. Unless I make good money early then ill quit and party.
Just got back to our place. Bigtits n Wes were wonderful southern men. Caught me off guard to be honest. Need to cut those bangs.
Huh? Germantown, the neighborhood, hates 5 food trucks? The NYE thing is in Bicentennial Park, which is barely Germantown. Secondly, its right next to the Farmer's market/Sounds stadium which plenty of parking for food trucks (or security).
Being facetious more than anything. Some germantown residents got mad at food trucks parking in certain areas and pitched a fit about it. I was saying what will they do when 50K people are parking.
hiked Mossy Ridge Trail in Percy Warner yesterday, was quite nice http://www.wbir.com/news/local/new-beer-law-brings-higher-gravity-beer-to-tennessee/381168008 high gravity beer (10.1) now allowed in grocery stores and in brewery tap rooms. Was previously 6.2. What a dumb law, glad it is gone.
Lifetime handgun carry permit also dropped significantly. Still too high but better than what it was.
Went to the DMV 45 minutes before they opened this morning...was about 15th out of 100 in line...8:30 rolls around and someone figured out that the DMV celebrates New Year's for several days. Sluts.
Just kopped Margo Price tickets for her Chattanooga show on Sat Mar 4. I regret not seeing her at 3rd and Lindsley this summer.
I need to get drunk with someone this weekend after apartment hunting. My only friend in town is getting a boob job this weekend so I'm all alone until the scar heals.
Damn, why didnt I think of that. My joke was going to be, "Well you didnt have surgery on your mouth." Or something
Still hotel living in Brentwood for the time being, but looking at a loft downtown and a condo by Germantown. Cost of living for a 1 bedroom is roughly the same for Nolensville, Brentwood, Franklin and downtown Nashville. Honestly hadn't even looked at anything or spent much time downtown other than stumbling in/out of the gulch a few times. Looks like I'll be going away from traffic to/from work so might as well live downtown.
I lived in Sylvan park for a little over a year. Its pretty near Vandy. Just moved further west out to Hillwood in October. I work in Franklin, is that where you are going to be working? If so, that "reverse commute" is becoming less and less of one every day. Its taking me 45 minutes to get home these days, fyi. Not a big issue to me, as I have no desire to live in Brentwood at my age (26). But, something to consider.
Work is in Nolensville, so I've got back roads and both interstates to pick from thankfully. Its either downtown or Franklin/Cool Springs at this point. Just ready to be done.
West Meade is not the GOAT part of town. I live in Sylvan Park. Preferred my time in 12 South. You say you've only ventured out into the Gulch. Venture elsewhere, imhv
went to kung fu on Sunday, was alright will probably be a lot better once the weather allows for patio drinking/games. Music was so loud by 4pm had to leave, it felt like I was in a club at 2am on a Saturday not a casual Sunday afternoon day drinking environment. I have a friend that lives in Acklen off West End and likes it a lot.
Where else am I supposed to brunch then? This is only my 3rd weekend in town, but my only issue with the gulch is parking. I'm also a craft beer bitch, so Yazoo and a trip to Peg Leg and passing out at 9PM is a good night for me.
I live in the Boro but obviously I'll come drink with mainboarders anywhere in Nashville. Also who is our real estate agent here? I'm debating putting my house on the market. Daddy Rabbit THEBLUERAIDER
Capstone 88 you going to watch the game at the dawghouse? It will be my first time going there for a game this year.
Whoever the agent is needs to meet up for drinks and give me business cards. Good chance you'll run into boob girl imo.
I've only been to Southern Grist. I've pretty much spent all my time searching for housing in/around Brentwood and Franklin and just decided this week that I'm not going to fucking do that. So I'm open to suggestions. I like the 12 South area too, but haven't found any decent rentals in that area.
Smith & Lentz Brewing does a movie every Thursday "Brew & View". Tonight is the debut night and they're showing The Big Lebowski and Django Unchained. I may go.
Marche... Margot.... EN Biscuit House... Catch the noon games on Sunday at Beyond the Edge... Totally full of dykes in there but damn, I swear their pub food is best in the city.
