Redevelop and let the tenants come back in the ground floor retail is likely what will happen if they want to stay.
Figured. If it gets above 5 stories they better be ready for the hell fury of Buckhaven residents though.
Imma about to start narcing on people eating on marta. Don't wanna smell ur chicken wings and nasty ass McDonalds
I just got off MARTA and someone was eating Popeyes and it was killing me because it smelled so delicious.
Big City Bread for light breakfast, Dawg Gone BBQ, catching up with friends/walking around campus, Creature Comforts. Staying at the Graduate/Foundry. Going to do Trapeze for dinner since it's right by the 40 Watt. Want to explore Normaltown tomorrow before we leave.
Ike & Jane for breakfast. Hi-Lo for semi-dive bar with bar food (love this place). Old Pal for the best cocktails in town. Automatic Pizza for expensive, but delicious pizza/calzones.
get a Low-Brow (shot of ancient age and a tall boy of pbr or coors) for like $4 drink Bitburger while you're there too. current draft list is tight. http://www.hiloathens.com/beer-bottles-and-cans/
Take it to the Athens thread, blumpkins. Have said that, Big City Bread has the best French toast I've ever had.
it could be a west midtown thing, but has anyone else enjoyed the pop-up falcons memorabilia vendors selling wares on street corners?
There's a store next to my favorite lunch hibachi spot called Super Bowl Merchandise. An actual brick and mortar store.
Just saw one on Boulevard and Memorial. And bicycles are eventually going to be banned from the beltline. It's simply not safe for them to be mixing with pedestrians at high speeds. This should be Trump's next EO, banning bikes on the beltline and marta trains. I saw a guy almost get killed earlier by a bike, and then the cocksucking cyclist had the nerve and ignorance to start yelling at him. It was nowhere near crowded either, surprised there haven't been more altercations on the weekend the way those guys ride. If Champ Bailey wasn't such a princess, I'd have sent him to bit the biker.
Lived right on the beltline for a year. Actively avoided it on weekends with nice weather because it's absolutely miserable.
Bikes on beltline as a form of leisure are fine. Bikes on the beltline solely with the goal of getting from place to place are a disaster. That being said, I don't know why any biker tries on a crowded weekend. Seems miserable.
I think Kochi. It didn't have a name for the first 2 years or so. The sign just said 'hibachi'. It's under new management now and it's starting to take a slide though.
Ladybird owners filed plans for old H Harper Station spot. Be sure to go in the first month it opens before people find out and it becomes unbearable.
Crowded spring weekend it is near impossible. But tons of people use it for commuting daily and getting place to place. It isn't a walk way. If possible, they could do a bike only path off to the side if there is enough room.
Last time I talked with the Beltline crew, they were focused on a soft shoulder lane to pull over (the west side trail is supposed to have these), and lighting, but not a bike only lane. They tried the etiquette ads but people are too fucking stupid for that shit.
For you Aubies and Bamers and generally anyone who has spent time in Alabama, Good People Brewing is now available in ATL.
need more info on the lunch hibachi place, can't always be near the tokyo grill in decatur around lunchtime edit: nm, saw the mention and that it was starting to take a slide. tokyo grill is good, but when they redid the place they conveniently made it so you can't get a refill as easily.
They are the absolute worst and actively attempt to ruin the belt line for everyone else. *I'm referring primarily to the Lance Armstrong chodes who weave in and out of the lanes trying to set a speed record, not people dicking around on beach cruisers
Good Peoples stout is worth buying too. Most stouts these days are over the top imperial stouts with 8 different flavors, but theirs is a little less intense to where you can drink a few and not feel like shit.
