We went for a bday party last Friday and only waited 45 minutes for a lane at 730 so it might not bad too terrible
That's what someone at the party said. Their experience when it was new was similar to yours. It was still packed, but not insanely so
Going to see the King at Phillips Arena tonight. Sitting in the upper deck, but still pretty damn excited. Hope the Hawks pull it out.
I went two weekends ago. Was solid. Lot more laid back than Painted Pin. Not crowded. Had shuffle board courts and a full bar. Menu was good, but tables couldve been more conducive to eating. Solid beer and cocktail options that you would expect from Twains ppl.
Sit on the roof and enjoy the day and the view. Food is solid and reasonably priced, and the beer list is very good on local brews.
Both locations are solid, but the Grant Park is one of my very spots. This City is criminally underserved with rooftop and patio options so I probly overrate it.
Live near Tuk Tuk and have never been. Always wondered how it was because it never seems like anyone is there.
Limerick's Junction in the Highlands has always been my St. Paddy's go to, but only bc I was working. They have bands in the parking lot behind Dark Horse and Limericks.
It's awesome. Fantastic presentation. Absolutely amazing food. Great service. A little pricier than normal for Thai, but it's worth it . Check it out!
Don't know if any of yall remember, but the King and I was hands down the best Thai in the city for a while. It's closed now....staryed going downhill for when they changed ownership...then changed the name. Sad
Saw a local commercial on espn today that was just bonecrusher in a parking lot saying to come to some restaurant. It was awesome.
Then you have a place like Fl(o)ip Burger on highland with a great rooftop and they close and now it's going to be a dentist office. Come on Kasim, this is your time to step in.
Who's Kasim? Have we talked about how our mayor is on every bench/billboard/pa announcement at the airport? Bc he is
Have any of you guys heard of/used the app called InWeGo? $29 monthly subscription that lets you get into unlimited sporting events, for that month. Seems like one of those too good to be true deals, especially during football season.
I'd wonder how much that cost, but it being the airport he probably got a discount kicked back to him. You don't see mayors doing that in other cities
The airport is a city department here, which isn't necessarily the norm in other cities. Either way, MKRs recording is annoying as fuck.
If any of you are unlucky enough to find yourself in East Cobb, you must eat at Drift. It and Seed are far more than EC deserve, but thank god it keeps me from having to ride MARTA to eat somewhere better than Chilis.
Did Hartsfield completely fuck up security or is it just me? They only use 2 lines now. Half is shit off. There are as many tsa precheck lines as normal lines. Makes no sense
It was probably 15 minutes this AM. Wasn't bad, but it seems like they used to have 8 lines, now they have 2. The new belts they use similar to European airports are nice. Half the security isn't used
I think our airport has done a nice job with security after last year's ordeal. Minor setback for a major comeback
So the most trafficked airport in the world is under control of the city of Atlanta? Can they impose their own taxes? That sounds like a literal gold mine. With regards to the airport, what is the norm in other cities? Specifically Orlando if you have any insight.
Have any of you been to the Atlanta Auto show? http://goautoshow.com/ I'm not expecting it to be the like Detroit, but is it decent?
w00ds0n2 We told you on Monday about the fact that, as the Senate Transportation Committee is deliberating over a House bill that could create the outline of a regional transit system in metro Atlanta, a Senate bill now in the House could pre-empt any debate over a wider role for passenger rail. SR 228 would allow Georgia to negotiate a 50-year lease with CSX for the Western & Atlantic rail line that extends from Atlanta to Chattanooga. In the past, CSX has been reluctant to share its lines with passenger traffic. Maria Saporta of the Saporta Report was at that same Atlanta Press Club gathering we mentioned above. While there, she ran into Craig Camuso, the regional vice president for CSX. From her account: “What the [resolution] does is give the State Properties Commission the right to negotiate with CSX,” Camuso said. “The current lease says that we must review any commuter rail plans. There will have to be a negotiation of the lease itself. That can’t happen until the Legislature gives the authority.” CSX current lease for a rail line that goes up to Cobb County runs out in 2019. “It’s an important part of our freight network,” Camuso said.
What patios will yall be drinking at the most this spring? I need to diversify from going to Cypress so much.
