Mailed them home, it was like $50 (to mail). Vietnam, specifically Hoi An, has some ridiculously cheap high quality tailors. If anyone goes they should make a point to get at least 1 fitted suit.

due to things out of our control we're just going to do one of the round trip 7 day cruises from Seattle, likely

Seattle - Sea - Ketchikan - Tracy Arm Fjord - Juneau - Skagway - Inside Passage - Sea - Seattle

if its dope like we suspect we'll come back in a few years just us and do a one way cruise North from Seattle then do a week or two on land hitting Glacier etc

Imo just walk the city. Lines are too long at the main attractions to fit in a day. Maybe Churchill war rooms? Certainly worth your time to walk past Parliament, Westminister, Buckingham, Tower of London, Trafalgar Sq.

View of city from Greenwich Observatory is great.

Really any of the parks are phenomenal. St James is most touristy but pretty. Hyde is the best but Regents park is nice too. Holland Park has some cool peacocks.

Solid walk is take South Kensington station and walknorth past museums and royal albert hall --> check out central hyde park and ponds or walk west towards Kensington Palace/Gardens. Or take Paddington Station then head south through Sussex Gardens to Hude Park to check out Kensington Palace that way. After that walk to Holland Park.

Walking the embankment is cool but the Thames isnt as nice as other city centric rivers imo. Battersea Park embankment or Chelsea embankment.

Borough Market is cool. Spitalfield Market too. Portobello Road. Bond Street.

Get drinks at The Ship in afternoon for sunset. Drinks at the Botanist around 6 for post work vibe. Lunch at Mews of Mayfair or Fish/Chips at Hook in camden town. Gordons Wine Bar has good drinks. Vertigo 42 or Sky Garden if you want a crazy high view (but I would avoid The City). Best restaurants are along Fulham and Kings Road in chelsea. Best bars are in shoreditch (bounce, flight club, kick bar, burdock, etc).

As always - dependent on your interests and where youre staying.

We're pretty much set on Tanzania for next year. We're just trying to figure out if we're going to do February for the calving season or August/September to try and see the wildebeest Mara River Crossing.

Going to be really expensive but this will be a lifetime type trip. A week in the Serengeti in mobile camps tracking the Great Migration. Got damn.

What have y'all done for travel adapters? Mine has gone to shit and I need a new one for when I go to Europe next month. Should I go ahead and get one here or buy one when I get there? I was thinking just a simple USB wall adapter so I don't have to bring my wall adapter to plug into another adapter.

Hey Brazil bros... I am silly and didn't realize that I needed a travel Visa to go to Brazil until last night.

I briefly researched and found that I've gotta submit it to our Consulate. The consulate I'd use is in Houston (8 hour drive from me), so it looks like the best way is to pay a broker fee of $75+.

Does this sound familiar or did I misread?

Yep. I had to take my passport in to consulate to get the visa. I have paid brokers to get visas before as well. Worth the cost after I spent 4 hours in line to both drop off and pick up a Visa at the Chinese embassy in NYC.

Were you guys using wrong voltage or just jamming plugs in wrong holes?

They pretty much only use tinder in BA (or in most of SA for that matter), no bumble or anything else I heard of.

And yes, it's worth it, Tinder in BA is full of young hot Latin women.

Thinking about doing that next year. Definitely not doing the Inca. So there's no issues just booking the flight and rolling into Cusco and signing up.

Hiking Kilimanjaro next year and will probably do a week long safari in Serengeti or maybe Kruger. Interested to see how yours goes.

Only been here for about 40 hours, but love it so far. Everyone parties on the beach during the day then parlays that into the clubs.

Tip: don't arrive on a Friday night because all trains and buses shut down for Shabbat. You get gouged by taxis. Also be aware that Thursday and Fridays are the bigger party nights, while Saturday night is more like their Sunday.

Unfortunately the city is really expensive. Beers in a supermarket cost 10 shekels a piece (approx. $3). Kebabs for $12+. Drinks in clubs $12+.

Today is their Memorial Day. Tomorrow night starts their Independence Day celebration. Flags are flying everywhere. Pretty pumped that I lucked into this.

I have a window and this couple and their kid are next to me. Me, kid (maybe five), mom, aisle, dad

Mom asked me for a favor...how attached am I to my seat? Will I switch with the dad?

Am I an asshole for saying no? I'm hungover as fuck and want to nap and I prefer windows. She's been rude to me since and passive aggressively talking to her husband about the situation

I refuse to take fault but am willing to be convinced

    how long is the flight?

cause yeah, I don't see any fault on your end imo, if its like a sub 2 hour flight I'd probably just switch tho, but if shes being passive aggressive I'd never switch.

You have every right to say No. This doesnt reach the threshold of some child safety/health matter.

I see no problem with her asking, I have a problem with her/him getting pissy for not getting the answer they wanted. Should have booked the right seats originally. Move along.
