UDFA stuff: Saints Reported Undrafted Free Agent Signings Devaroe Lawrence - DT - Auburn Andrew Lauderdale - OT - New Hampshire Sae Tautu - LB - BYU Travin Dural - WR - LSU Cameron Lee - G - Illinois State Arthur Maulet - CB - Memphis Colin Buchanan - G/T - Miami (OH) Antonio Pipkin - QB - Tiffin Cameron Tom - C - Southern Miss
Receiver depth: Michael Thomas Willie Snead Ted Ginn, Jr. Tommylee Lewis Brandon Coleman Corey Fuller Should we be concerned about the depth, or lack thereof?
I think you'll see Kamara in basically a WR role for a good chunk of his snaps. But yeah, outside of Thomas there's not a lot to get excited about. Wouldn't be surprised if Dural makes the roster. Brees can work magic with a lot of folks though.
Brees could probably make me a 500 yard receiver. I'm not really concerned. Ginn will take Cooks' role of stretching the field, the rest is pretty much what we had last year. If Kamara allows us to start running screens again then I'll be very happy.
The Unger news blows but the way it has blown up my phone with alerts you'd have thought it was Brees or something. We're not Auburn our season isn't going to hinge on whether a center is injured or not.
This is why I never react to news as it's breaking - now Unger will be back in the preseason. Yesterday the sky was falling and people wanted to trade Ingram for OL. Now it may not even be 1 game. Even if he's out a week or two I don't see a big problem. The rest of our OL is improved and Payton will be able to mask the hole for a short time without much dropoff.
Yup we skyrocketed to the top of those "surprising veteran cuts most likely to happen" lists. Ingram isn't going anywhere.
So much bullshit talk down here that this will be Fleeners breakout season. He caught the ball, great! Waste of money
Hopefully it's the same ailment he's already had or related to it and tests will confirm everything is all good and he has a pro bowl season and we beat the pats in the SB 38-34
It is related to his pre existing condition. I would think that's better than something found unrelated but I'm an accountant and don't know much about health issues related to the heart or in general for that matter.
So our 2nd best player on offense is out 4-6 months. Sweet! http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...d-needs-surgery-repair-torn-labrum-4-6-months
Somehow our OL finds a way to get worse. I'm sure we can just put Peat over there and won't miss a beat Fuck
The offense will still score points. Last year the o-line dominated the talk leading up the the first game and it wasnt really an issue. If the 2nd best defensive player goes down, then hold my beer.
Do we even have a "2nd best player on defense?" Cam and then who else? Are we pushing the corpse of Roman Harper out there again this year?
Our Drs really dropped the ball on this one. With that much money and cap space on the line they should've done a better job checking out Fairly, it's not like it's a new issue. That sucks.
just bought tickets for the wembley game. SUPER excited to go to my first NFL game. Fucking expensive but worth it
Hi Fellas, how about we do a TMB Saints FANtasy league, was thinking 12 guys, yahoo, could be (.5)ppr but that all can be discussed
small money or free is both fine by me. Dont feel like doing anything like 100 but like 10 bucks or something is all good. what i have in my only other league (combination of domers and dutch football fans) is 3 keepers that you can keep at the round they were drafted in. makes it a lot of fun, also means you can "suck for next year" by trading away for keepable assets
bertwing BamaNug Beagle Pelican Grove pockets Tiffin given the overlap we might make it a Saints-OSU league
Im in two, which is already too many for me. Plus, I plan on trying out for a DB position mid-season once we're depleted again.
I'm in way too many. Honestly wouldn't put much effort into it and don't really have the time for another draft
Fucking hell. Even our team doctors suck ass... The Saints have fired team orthopedists Deryk Jones and Misty Suri, per source, after it was discovered that CB Delvin Breaux has a fractured fibula and will require surgery expected to sidelined him for 4-6 weeks. Breaux was originally diagnosed with a contusion – and the team was frustrated that he wasn't recovering more quickly until the missed diagnosis was revealed. It was accurately reported that the team has had an issue with Breaux's string of nagging injuries in the past, but this case is different. And it seems unlikely at this point that the team will be as eager to trade or release Breaux. Mike Triplett, ESPN Staff Writer
