It's super fun when it works. Matchmaking is broken right now so you can only get games through the Xbone game hub. Also lots of crashes and connectivity issues. Annoying but it's a small developer and the game is a blast so I'm willing to be patient. There's supposed to be a patch dropping Wednesday. My gt is Dreys if anyone wants to play
Yeah, I actually had to remove someone from my friends lists for those. On face value, before it's over the top, it's a great gorilla marketing technique. Edit: Also, is the next season of Overwatch upon us already? Wowsa.
Been watching this guy play Friday the 13th all day on Twitch.... Tried to play one game via quickplay, after waiting 6 minutes in a queue to wait 3 more minutes because someone didn't select I got started. Within 1 minute I was "disconnected from the server"
I watched a good 20 minutes of the Friday the 13th game and I feel like it would get insanely repetitive. It's like an indie studio made Evolve but had less options, characters, and maps.
Any potential replayability comes from your interactions in game with other people. Quickmatch worked for a friend and I for the first time tonight probably thanks to the update today and we were playing with a good group of people who were all talking and it was great.
Would actually be $350 for both right now as there is a deal going on for $175 per X1 traded in. I was just looking myself.
I don't see a restriction on the model... It's from their weekly ad which you can look at on the site but I don't see anything about hard drive size, S model or not, etc., etc. right there or on the bottom of the page in the ad that that's from.
havent turned on the xbox in about 6 months but now i have sometime. any games out right now worth getting?
So back in April or whenever it was that DigitalFoundry went out to MS HQ and got to see the Scorpio in action they cranked up a non-optimized Forzatech demo to "PC ultra equivalent settings" at 4k60fps and had about 12% power to spare. Forza Motorsport 7's content director says they now have 30% power to spare running a more optimized version of Forza 7 at 4k60fps on the X. https://www.destructoid.com/the-xbo...n-when-running-forza-at-4k-60fps-441794.phtml That's pretty ridiculous. I figured Forza would be a Scorpio launch title and that they'd somehow manage to get 4k60fps just because it's Forza and they've always been able to get the most out of the consoles (1080p60 right off the bat with X1) but to have basically 1/3rd of the power to spare is nuts.
current state is pretty touch and go. they live in a 450sqft box and the bedroom doesn't have a place to put their 2nd TV (don't wanna mount bc they're moving soon) so they only have 1 TV. so he only gets to play when the wife is studying... not allowed to just be like aye bae i'm gonna play a game deal with it. moving in like 6 weeks to a bigger place with room in bedroom for 2nd TV then HE'S BACK (he claims). until then it's a little here there and yonder FIFA action
I managed to flank the entire enemy team on a horse in BF1. I then proceeded shit myself, run into both of the grenades I threw, and stop right in front of a tank's main cannon. Anybody else play BF1? It'd be fun to get a squad going some time.
It was in their weekly ad and they have a new ad up. That should still be good through the 18th though. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. I'd assume they'll have similar trade-in deals when the Xbox One X is officially available for pre-order (still awaiting FCC approval).
I'm definitely trading in my Xbox One to get the X. Plan on upgrading my TV as well (probably during black Friday to save and prepare).
Planning my upgrade path as well. I think I'm going to do the AVR soon. Fry's has been running deals on 4k denons.
I need a reasonably priced 4k tv in the mid 40in range. Everything that is considered "good for gaming" is like $800+ which seems insane to me.
Just upgraded my tv to 55 inch Samsung with HDR. How much willl I be missing by keeping my S? I really don't want to get rid of it and don't want to have 3.
I got a Samsung last year that matches your description for about $800-ish. I'd just wait for Black Friday or cyber Monday.
Damn so I should be budgeting for like a $700 TV (on black Friday/cyber monday) basically? This upgrade is gonna be a straight balling though.
there are plenty of cheap 4k tvs. Many from good brands (small sizes) down in the 600-800 range. I got a 43" Sony for $698 in Dec 2015. based on what I learned, If I was buying a TV right now I would recommend to others who want a TV they can game on: prioritize response rate. A nice TV will look beautiful but if its not a fast panel and input lag is low, playing online will be terrible. THIS is a great resource for comparing models. HDR is a must ensure all HDMI ports are HDMI 2.0a or better (for future proofing). The industry is still messing around with HDR standards
