Wolfe is a moron. So just because the US is better than some other places, if you think we need to improve some things you should leave? wat
No offense but fuck off. Some people voted because they place value on certain things they GOP place more importance on (not taking away rights from minorities). My father has done more for America than you probably ever have. He's not an unamerican piece of shit.
He's an unamerican piece of shit and voted to hurt the country and his fellow Americans. Sorry the truth hurts. Your dad made it clear that's he's perfectly ok with all the awful shit Trump wanted to do (yes including taking away rights from minorities) by voting for Trump. I have no time for people like your father and I'm tired of people defending this shit.
Your dad said he was okay with the racism and white nationalism as long as he got his tax cuts. It sucks for you to find that out about your dad. Maybe he regrets his decision now. But that’s what your dad did in November and there’s really no sugarcoating that.
Well his religious beliefs are staunchly anti abortion. He has very GOP economic beliefs. And I'm pretty sure he feels like the GOP would stop trump from actually taking rights away. He's also very pro #takeaknee. In short anyone that calls him an umamerican piece of shit can kindly jump off a fucking bridge. Like Owsley said. You don't have to forgive them but fuck caneknights attitude towards them.
Put yourself in the shoes of someone targeted by Trumps rhetoric and since being elected, policies. Basically every person of color, women, etc. You just made the argument that his stance on abortion and the economy > their rights. He has the privilege to assume Trump wouldn't actually enact racist policies, many people aren't so lucky.
My dad didn't vote to take rights away from minorities, he voted to take rights away from women! Get it straight!
No he didn't and neither did my mom. They may be partly brainwashed by Fox (in regards to GOP economic policy and shit like that) but being ok with racism or white nationalism they are not. But I'm not going to keep going on with y'all about this. Think what you want there isn't ahit that will change your belief.
rex did not admit wrongdoing. he never said he had a problem with anything that happened before this incident
We’ve spent 1600 pages explaining why people that voted for trump are awful and supported hate and racism. My dad (who I love) isn’t immune to that criticism neither is yours.
Once again I'm not going be cordial with trash that vote to hurt people of my color. I'm as much an American as the pieces of shit that vote to hurt me. Fuck them because they're disgusting people. Your Dad is one of those people and can't be trusted just like every other Trump Supporter.
Jax Teller your parents were dumbfucks for voting for the man. So were my mom and stepfather. It's fine to admit it.
You've spent 1600 pages being yes men and attacking anyone that says not everyone that voted for trump is/was supporting racism or is an unamerican piece of shit. Sorry, not sorry that I don't agree with that. I guess every minority GOP member/voter supports racism too. That's my last post on it. There are more important things to worry about right now.
Knew it would be taken that way. All these tough guys who couldn't put FOOTBALL TEAM aside for one for damn second to actually show your displeasure and actually kneeling for what kaep believed it.
They did, Jax. They made the decision that racism and white nationalism are less important than their version of economic conservatism. Electing Trump just tells the GOP that that’s the type of candidates they need to run. If your parents were actually people that felt it was important to oppose racism and white nationalism, they wouldn’t have voted for him. It sucks, but it’s the truth. Because you love them, you have an obligation to explain that very simple fact to them. That’s the only way that they and America can hope to ever have a non-racist GOP again.
being completely apathetic about the condition of minorities rather than actively malicious doesn't make you Not Racist
We are yes man because we disagree with trump’s stupidity and we call out trumptards? GTFO with that bullshit. I love my dad but I called out his stupidity for voting for this bullshit. I told him how could he look at his half Mexican grand kids and vote for the POS who spewed that hate,
Fuck off with this shit. First of all, stop being a lazy asshole. You can't accuse others of painting with a broad brush then do the same. That's stupid. Second of all, they may not be racist but they decided that racist rhetoric was less important than whatever stupid reason that they came up with to vote for him. They enabled racism by looking away. And yes, I've said this to people in my life who voted for the man.
my parents voted for trump and they are very unintelligent (my mother) or very racist and bigoted (my father)
I posted about this before, but I'll admit I'm a chickenshit and maybe complicit, but I just can't bring myself to call out my parents other than arguing in general about my beliefs versus theirs. Hopefully I will at some point, but it must be nice for some of you to be able to completely cut off contact with your family. Not sure if I could ever do that.
I didn't cut off contact and I don't have constant conversations about it because I believe that badgering someone about something you feel is wrong makes them build a hill to defend their shitty viewpoints instead of breathing and thinking logically (see Merica on any of the dumbass shit he starts blathering). But yes, you're a pussy if you let your beliefs stay completely silent. Nothing wrong with stating your position, putting it on the record, then letting it marinate.
I didn’t cut off contact with my dad. I did call out his bullshit/ I did tell him I was embarrassed that someone I’ve respected all my life would vote for that buffoon. I am not going to lose sleep if anyone thinks I am weak for continuing a relationship with my dad. Hopefully he regrets his stupidity in voting for that POS.
Daniel Ocean @Bu Tang Clan not suggestion that y'all are advocating cutting of contact, but some are and some will have that happen regardless.
I’m not going to scream or completely cut off my trump supporting father. What I’ve tried to do is correct misconceptions he has and convince him that a vast majority of what he reads on the internet is dubious at best. It’s just reallyembarrassing when I have people ask me “your sister married a black guy, what does your dad think about that?” What can you do or say in that situation? I honestly don’t know.
Sure, you have to find a balance. Staying in contact should not equal cowering in the corner out of fear.
I've posted in here before how my BIL is a hardcore MAGAtard and I have told him to his face how I think he's a moron and his opinions make me think less of him as a person. We still get along fine, drink together and have a good time. If discussing politics make you have to cutoff contact with someone, either you or them are kind of a pansy. If anything, I've learned I can never understand someone's perspective on life. And it's hard to change that. I can only give my 2 cents and move on.
Not wanting to speak with someone who voted to marginalize your rights as a human being = being a pansy
