PSU and TCU losing today was huge. Both the Big 12 and Big 10 will have difficult roads to the playoffs with these outcomes. Win out and...shit, we had better find a bigger boat.

MSU hurt us. They're likely on course to lose 4 games and knock them out of the top 25 But either way if Georgia doesn't just implode a 1 loss Notre Dame team will be in the 4.
Yeah OSU will be in if they win out, but the B1G wont have 2 teams in. No one from that conference has any OOC marquee win. Clemson and Oklahoma are the teams we have to keep an eye on. If they each get another loss, we have a clear path to the playoffs with no debate. Tuesday will tell us how much of a threat each of them are

Can't really argue with your assessment. Take out the 1st Q and we plainly got beat. I was more disappointed in our O, but losing Hines was obviously a factor.
Rewatching the game now after waking up after passing out for a bit. This is a high powered offense (averaging 35 a game) and they only put up 7 points on us. Elko needs a raise.

I don’t think we need UGA to stay highly ranked. In fact I think it would be better if they lost two or three games so they fall out of the playoff picture.
We basically need two conferences to be out, and we’re in. Pac12 is out. Big 12 is on life support. So is the ACC. Big 10 is likely getting in, but even they have a chance of totally fucking up now. Do we officially control our own destiny yet? No. But it’s like a 95% chance if we win out, we’re in. Best case scenario is a Miami win and NC State win next weekend. Then our game vs Miami would be a de facto ACC Championship.
