I was just giving you shit. I could see him retiring soon, seems like the type of guy who wants to move on to "bigger" things. ACC commish, playoff committee, maybe spearhead another Indy Super bowl, etc.
Notre Dame breeds athletic directors. Whether they went to school here or spent time here as an associate AD. I am hoping for Jim Phillips.
Spoiler Recruiting Intel: First, heard Lawrence Keys should be eligible for ND now. Heard ND will try to get him up for the banquet weekend to visit. On Tommy Tremble. It will be interesting to see if he takes the Michigan visit or not. He may not. ND is in great shape here, but it will be interesting to see if he takes more visits or not. Luke Jones, the Arkansas commit who visited awhile back will also visit for the banquet. He's a guy to keep an eye on here. I don't think he's decided yet if he plans to de-commit or flip to ND, but I think if/when he visits for the banquet, he'll likely end up in ND's class. On Payton Wilson, I was told he's a definite ND kid. Kind of a country kid, but fits in well with ND's players. He has great size, and they love his film. I'm told it will likely come down to if he wants to go away for school or not. If he can see himself going away, ND has a great shot at him. I was also told that ND has spoken to all the current commits and we should expect almost all of them to sign on Dec. 20th. There may be one who may not, but I think it's just ironing something out at this point. Nothing to be concerned about. I do not know if anyone who hasn't committed but may soon would then also plan to sign early or not. Some underclassmen stuff for those who visited. On OL John Olmstead, again this visit went very well. Heard he got to spend time with Q. Nelson on Sunday, and that was a big thing for him. He came with his Dad and brother-in-law. Heard he is a definite ND kid. Perfect fit, and I think he knows that as well. Right now, Penn State seems to be the main competition, and Franklin is heavily involved in his recruitment. But, ND is very much in this race. Family really likes ND. He's also very high on the wish list. On DE Zach Harrison, again, great visit. I think it's either his 4th or 5th time visiting ND. This was his Mom's third time coming up. ND is very much in the mix here. Obviously, the worry is Ohio State, but I don't think they're leading by any means on this. ND is in good shape here. On DE Marcus Hicks, again, ND did a great job here. ND should very much be in the race from here on out. On DE Cade Stover. This was kind of a get to know each other visit. There hasn't been a ton of back and forth before the visit, but now it will be interesting to see what materializes. If ND is still being mentioned in the coming weeks, they should have a shot. A couple of 2019 kids who impressed when ND got to look and talk with them to keep an eye on. These probably weren't as widely known. OL Jake Remsberg (Des Moines IA) Rover Casey Cline (Brawley CA) Rover Jalen Green (Olney MD) S Dean Ferguson (Sterling VA) S Bryson Shaw (Potomac MD) Some 2020 kids who stood out CB Lejond Cavazos (Bradenton FL) DE Chantz Wiliams (Orange Park FL) DT Denver Warren (Aurora IL) OT Jalen Rivers (Orange Park, FL) OT Omari Thomas (Eads TN) WR Jahmal Banks (Arlington VA) Also, asked if Josh Adams was OK for this week. Was told he should be good to go. Didn't get the time to ask about anyone else, sorry.
This is what concerns me about Wichita State. They play good defense and his inability to dribble is going to pull Farrell off of the wing to the point too much imo.
LSU losing by 15 to Marquette but that star PG for lsu who went for 31 game 1 went for another 30ish tonight. Gibbs held him to 8 points last night
We're definitely a second half team this year. This would be a great one if we can complete this comeback. I don't think we do (too big a hole to dig out if and they keep hitting that amount ass 3 pointer to answer any of our runs), but this has been a fun 2nd half
Also, didn't they change the timeout rules last year so that wouldn't happen. ND called a timeout under 8 minutes, 3 movie TV break, immediate whistle and another 3 movie TV timeout. What the fuck
These dipshits wanna play football, bring that shit on WSU. (I napped and am super hostile right now for some reason so these dicks have gained my ire) Happy Thanksgiving.
WSU is an actual bird, massive Macklemore, crack head J. Cole and 2 guys who showed up from the Kansas City Y. I do not like them.
Never in doubt. I'm just mad that I can't watch the trophy get handed out and Farrell drop an F bomb right now.
That team really wanted that win, that was fun stuff. I imagined we'd have growing pains this year, but Brey does Brey things. If we win at MSU this is a monster couple weeks for ND basketball.
yeah we got back to our starting lineup and roled with it. that is going to be a HUGE w on the resume come march. now go out next thursday and do it again in east lansing (i said pregame i would love to go 1 for 2 these next 2, so it's all gravy from here).
I really doubt we win in EL, but, if we do, wow. That's going to be a top ten game, which is awesome.
God dammit. Just counted down the games, and barring something catastrophic happening to this basketball team the next month, I won't be there to see coach set the all time wins mark. He's now 6 away and we play msu and then a string of easy games through the end of December. The first chance would be December 19 against Dartmouth, and that's the day I leave for Christmas.
Did not watch, left Columbus at 5, 6 hrs later made it to Gary Passed right out Sad I didn’t go turn it on
Incredible win. Given one of their best players is still injured and their relatively easy schedule, I'd imagine WSU goes something like 29-4 this year, plus they're in a semi-major conference this year so will probably be a guaranteed 2-4 seed come March. Will be huge on the resume.
getting packed to head up north for the weekend. nervous, but excited about the game. i wish we were playing better coming into the game, but i still feel with love injured, we have a good shot saturday. hope everyone had a great thanksgiving. here's to a great weekend
I will be tailgating this weekend. Anyone who is at the game is welcome to swing by. Not sure on location yet.
