Why does anyone think he'd be a good coach in the SEC? UW could have rushed just Vita Vea, instead of giving him a +2 entourage, and dropped 10 into coverage and the result would have basically been the same. I don't see how a coach that doesn't give a shit about running the ball could possibly get results in that conference.
Nope he’s headed to Ann Arbor since don brown is leaving Michigan for his dream job at Mississippi State.
So Chad Morris is flown in to Knoxville to sign on the dotted line, is sitting in the ADs office when he gets a text from TAMU that jimbo got cold feet and you are our guy. He fakes a family emergency, flies home, stop returning Tennessee phone calls and is introduced as the TAMU head coach the next day? Is this the next step in this saga?
I wasn’t being serious. I don’t actually think he is going to fake a family emergency while in the ADs office.
JohnWardForever (4,447) 09:22 AM Today It seems the only way to get UT's attention is to raise hell. Let's Picket, Protest, Tweet, MARCH on UT and Demand they Hire Lane Kiffin. I believe He is the Only Guy that can fix this helluva mess. It's gonna take Bravado! He got it in spades. SEC Title in Five Years? I say Yes he can. Otherwise ANOTHER 10 years of Nothing
Dump for modzi. Also, thank you for correcting my fuck up not including “thread”. Truly a great thread starter/updater.
They’re probably going to get sued by Schiano as his brief former employer, so I don’t see why that should be an issue.
This is an unprecedented cluster fuck. What's the list for guys that have turned them down or at least told them they weren't interested? Gruden Kelly Frost Mullen Schiano debacle Cutcliff Jason Witten Gundy Jim Bob Cooter I'm sure I'm missing people.
Again, why hasn't Les Miles been discussed yet? You would think he would be the one guy that would see past the dysfunction in the AD office and the job for what it is/could be. Plus, he already has a crystal ball so he doesn't need to worry about long term implications to his legacy. Just go get paid $6 million for 4 or 5 years.
I think they’re trying to go outside the box here. Losing to Bama every year for over a decade drives them nuts. Even though I think what you say makes some sense, Miles will definitely continue the string of getting crushed by Bama and I don’t think they can accept that. Not saying that’s a good way to think about things but I think that’s a big reason why they wouldn’t consider someone like Les, who would be a far better coach than Tee Martin
