Anyone wanna play PUBG before it comes out? Buy the game from here - https://www.scdkey.com/playerunknowns-battlegrounds-xbox-one-key-global_2432-20.html Redeem your code on the Xbox Store Go to your "ready to install" games Download PUBG and play it. These "keys" are global and work on a different time slot....therefore by-passing the "release date" time. You're welcome.
I just used this site and it worked fine. Why do the prices change so often? I saw PUBG went up 5 dollars since lunch.
Big learning curve when it comes to controls. Played a few rounds yesterday with a buddy and we had a blast. Got into a house in the middle of one of the last circles and had guys moving in from all around us, was real fun. The first impression of the waiting island and then the parachuting had me worrying. There is massive frame drop. Once you land and the textures load it runs pretty smooth. Had the game crash once when my friend was driving like it was god damn Mario kart.
Love it. It's a hyper realistic version of Fortnite. Overall, the gameplay it slower and the map is larger. Significantly more guns + attachments + body armor + helmets. Customization is significantly better too. I can see people being turned off that it isn't as "easy" as Fortnite. There are situations where you start getting shot at and you can't figure out from where. Definitely a couple frame rate drops and funky graphical load ins. In my opinion, it doesn't take away from the experience. My game hasn't crashed yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it did since its a "Game Preview". Played a game today, which I ended up winning, that had an awesome moment. I was quietly crouch running on a mountain when I spotted two players converging on each other in the far distance. Figured there would be a gun fight soon so I laid down and pulled out my sniper. One dude dies and the winner lays down to loot his body. I fired one bullet right into the back of his head from like 200-300 meters away and took him out. Quickly gathered my shit and continued moving. No one found me or anything as a result. I felt like fucking Chris Kyle and it was dope. With all this having been said, it's not surprising that this is the most popular game on Steam. I thought I would love it and I definitely do.
Played one game and had fun but this game runs very poorly on the original Xbox one. It's really hard to see
Yeah, Taco Sa1ad .... Now that I think of it, that very well could have been the problem. I'm still rocking the original Xbox One. I'll buy the S soon.
Low end pcs had the same problem until someone created a shader that helped brighten everything hopefully they will be able to do the same with console version
Damn it. You guys have me looking at buying a brand new 65 inch 4k and XBox One S on Amazon. This is not good for my wallet.
My favorite thing about it so far over Fortnite is the wide variety of options. Fornite randomly assigns your race and gender. In PUBG, my avatar has a well styled cut and grizzled features. He always seems to find the best gear in game to complement his look: a good blue shirt is preferred and the large black trench coat is a gamechanger. I can't wait to get back on and accessorize.
I think my favorite is the loading screen. So much absurdity between the underwear boxing matches and human centipede congo lines.
PUBG desperately needs optimization on PC, that's why I've held off on buying it. Sounds like the same might be true for console. Plus I tried Fortnite and hated it and feel like they are the same game.
God damn I wish fucking Santa Claus could hurry up and give my kids their XBoxX so I can play this Martha focking game.
If you don't like Fortnite at all, it would be very hard to recommend PUBG Fortnite is definitely impressive.....but PUBG requires a significantly larger amount of memory, detail, etc. I don't knock PUBG for it at this point.
Loaded up PUBG for the first time yesterday and won my first game. Only got 2 kills but somehow didn’t see a soul until the final four. I love the game and I’ve been looking forward to it coming out for months. Obviously it’s glitchy and has its faults, but those will continue to improve. Must buy for 30 bucks.
Purchased it about a month ago. Have had it out to 'set up' about 7 times after the kids go to bed. Actually does make sense though...first time firing it up there's the ~45 min system update...and getting everything set up. Installed Minecraft, Forza, and Madden. I'm doing it for them.
Had some fun last night. Ran over some people in a jeep. Crashed said jeep into a propane tank flipping car upside down . Teammate Soup shoots other teammate GBG_24 in the head mid crash. Game crashed on us a couple times.
Someone plugged a keyboard into their Xbox and pulled up a graphics menu on PUBG by accident and it showed that it's running on non-X consoles at "very low" settings at I think 1080p. On the X it's running at "medium" settings at 4k. And, going off Digital Foundry's comparison video, the X does a much better job of sticking close to that 30fps mark whereas the non-X will dip into the teens at times which is just awful. This should be expected though as this game doesn't run amazingly on any platform.
That hidden graphics menu just shows that it's 100% a PC port. There's probably zero optimization for consoles at this point, hopefully they got some patches lined up. I'll probably hold off on getting it 'til then.
If the game crashes on you should still be able to boot it back up and get back into your game. If you’re moving, or worse driving, you’re guy will stay going in that direction till you either die or reconnect. One game two of my buddies disconnected at the same time and our car was stuck going in a big circle. It was hysterical though. After about a minute we ended up running into a shed that stopped the car and then they reconnected.
So when Taco Sa1ad posted the link for the PUBG codes the other day and it was scdkey.com and not cdkeys.com (which I was familiar with) I just went to cdkeys.com and tried to get a code but their site was getting slammed. I tried ordering but it never went through so I gave scdkey.com a shot and it worked. But I eventually got an e-mail from PayPal saying cdkeys.com had taken the money for PUBG from my account. cdkeys doesn't have an amazing reputation when it comes to customer service or at the very least there is a very vocal minority of people who get screwed over by them from time to time so I was a little concerned. I still haven't had a chance to contact them and open a support ticket or whatever to get a refund but just got an e-mail from them and one from PayPal notifying me that my money has been refunded as they realized the error themselves. Pretty cool on their part.
This is pretty awesome... https://mixer.com/hypezonepubg Same concept as NFL Red Zone. The stream flips to players who are streaming and closest to possibly winning. It's awesome when it goes to someone just streaming to a handful of people then they see hundreds of people all of a sudden.
Can't wait till I get my xbox back from the repair shop. So how is PUBG on the the original xbox one? Like does it just frustrate the hell out of you and make you not want to play or is still a great game just has hiccups.
Absolutely. And I thought it had really good exploration and context based story telling. Plus if you’re someone that wants to play it multiple times and multiple ways it rewards you for both.
Definitely I beat it on the hardest difficulty it had a very challenging but fair difficulty and the side missions were varied and unique with is always appreciated.
Single player kind of a space BioShock with the way the world opens up , it seems small but you learn it is a huge explorable space station
PUBG is nearly unplayable on the Xbox one S, imo With that said it's probably because I'm coming from a PC with a GTX 1070 and a 144hz 1ms 1440p monitor with gysnc. Controls on PC need to stop changing.
I've seen all these complaints about PUBG on the retro Xbox Ones but I watched a video last night and after the plane jump, it almost always runs at or around 30fps.
Posted this in the video game thread, but that has pretty low traffic. PUBG put out their first update a week after launch. I would consider that a good sign as Microsoft has a strict certification process. And if you guys haven’t already, turning off the game DVR does help some with FPS and draw distance. I noticed parachuting in was a lot smoother after I turned mine off. Also haven’t crashed since.
