let's get it started, lads. looks like #Barcelona will be selling javier mascherano to Hebei Fortune in china and will be adding Yerry Mina from Palmeiras
Yeah? From what I've seen it seemed like expediting Mina to this window was going to be a difficult task.
They’ll probably follow that up by signing a couple more attacking midfielders, and think they fixed everything
Nah still need a CDM and GK... but wouldn’t you be happy to sign VVD if you had our attack and had to put up with our defense every week?
I'd be happy with the signing. I'm more joking that the hierarchy may think buying one CD will fix all the problems the defense has. Which, IMO, won't.
Liverpool dropping big money on VVD and then keita next summer. Can’t fault the ownership group for lack of ambition. Both are really good signings and the type of players the current squad desperately need
Everton just dropped £25 million on Cenk Tosun from Besiktas. I already question his decision making considering he has abandoned a club from his home country that just won their Champions League group for a team that are only a Liverpool battering away from having absolutely nothing to play for until next season. It’s good to have a Toffee near the top of this years CL scoring list. He’s ahead of Messi 4 goals to 3. #BigSamSmug
Will it completely fix it, no. Will it improve us massively, yes. We’re good at left and right back. Having Van Dijk will most likely improve his CB partner whoever Jürgen goes with. GK is still a huge need though having a competent CB pairing in front will make the GK job much easier.
Everton making a move for N'Zonzi? He's a great player, I thought I saw Arsenal was linked with him too.
I'd be content if Barcelona only signed Arthur and Mina and called it good. Can't wrap my head around breaking the bank for Coutinho. If they insist on splurging, however, Griezmann would be the way better option. Curious to see who they can offload. Mascherano is out but doesn't look like turan is going anywhere fast.
Barca has all of their players talking to the press trying to unsettle coutinho while there’s no way you guys are going to pay what it’s going to take to get him. Gonna get ugly real soon.
Everton loaned him to AC Milan just last season. This would already be his 4th loan deal. Poor Gerry.
Says a lot that when dembele went down, not only could he not fill in, we switched formations entirely. Vidal was a better 4-3-3 option. That's bad.
It doesn't make any financial sense. Meanwhile teams are circling around our youth players, again, for those that now consistently have their paths blocked by acquisitions like this. Arnaiz and Alena need to start getting more first team minutes. I don't understand the point of meticulously developing kids to play in a system if there's no plan in actually getting them to the highest stage. And if there's a weakness that need to be addressed, I'd rather they focus on a dirt cheap option such as Arthur.
Here we go again, Alexis to City.....if Arsenal can find a replacement https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/f...rsonal-terms-transfer-latest-Man-City-40m-fee
Fwiw daily star is barely one notch above those shitty transfer twitter accounts that just advertise shady betting sites half the time.
I don't trust most transfer rumors, but it has shown up a couple other sites as well https://www.si.com/soccer/2017/12/3...eed-contract-alexis-sanchez-ahead-ps40m-swoop
I'm just saying that even if Alexis ends up going to City for exactly £40m, there's virtually a 100% chance that the daily star didn't know shit about it. The rumor itself isn't questionable, or even unlikely, but the source is highly questionable.
I've seen everything from 75-110, but it's always with the CEO adding that Bayern won't pay that kind of money so
Yup, and that's always thrown out there when Lewa bitches about the lack of transfers. Also, Vidal may be moving
I would be alright with Vidal moving if Goretzka comes in. We would have a bloated midfield with Thiago, Javi, Vidal, Goretzka, Tolisso and Rudy. He’ll be 31 next year and his aggressive style of play doesn’t tend to last long
Can’t blame him. He was great as a fill in when Lahm needed a rest and while Kimmich was developing but now that Kimmich is the best RB in the world and loves to play every minute there’s not much playing time left for Rafinha.
