Thought I was going with latex until I laid on some. Gonna be a loom and leaf for me. They seem to be the coolest memory foam beds that I can find.
Returning my tuft and needle according to their 100 day policy. I'm a side / stomach sleeper and need something softer. Which of these would fit my needs? That new brand "purple"?
The amerisleep has 5 different softness options fwiw. I've been looking at those pretty close but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Just ordered a Helix for this reason. Seemed like T&N and Casper had bad reviews for side sleepers. Helix let's you customize the softness, so I went with that
Avocado. My wife’s got me eating and sleeping organic. Definitely on the firm side and definitely expensive but great mattress
Took a little longer than I expected for the TnN to break in, but we love it. Great for side & back sleepers, but not so firm that the wifey complains
I just bought my 2nd casper matress. Bought a queen size “the essential” model for out at the hunting camp and I’ve been very happy with it. We have a king size tempur pedic that’s about 8 years old and it’s really gone downhill fast the last 6-8 months. I used to love it l, but not It doesn’t support my lower back enough now and I sleep terrible on it, wake up all night, and have lower back pain a lot. So we bought a king casper “the essential”. Can’t wait for it to arrive.
Trying to decide on a mattress. Currently checking out the Helix sleep or the Sapira by Leesa. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciate. Hoping to make the purchase this week while they have the end of the year deals going on.
Went with the Tomorrow mattress over Sapira by Leesa. It got great reviews and is owned by Serta Simmons. I'll keep y'all posted on how it turns out. Had to purchase a box spring off Amazon to increase the height of the bed. As far as pillows, I am leaning towards the Leesa pillows or Coop Homes. Anyone have other pillow brands for me to check out? Looking for king size.
Wife and I got the coop home eden pillows on prime day and it's the best pillow we've ever had. And we've gone through a bunch.
Got the soft style from Brooklyn Bedding. Gave it a few months, it’s not what I consider soft, woke up sore every morning. Put it in the guest room and went back to my regular mattress, which is soft and doesn’t make me sore.
sorry been gone - longer than expected, probably a good couple months. Got to the point where she wanted to return it, but we were close to our 100 days and I liked it, and it's gotten softer since then
Three nights in on the Tomorrow Sleep. No soreness when I wake up and I have had more energy in the mornings. I’ll report back once I feel it has broken in enough to judge it. Waiting on my Coop Home Eden pillows to come in. Will let y’all know how they work out for us.
I went with Brooklyn beddings aurora. The bed itself is awesome. Perfect combo of comfort and bounce and doesn't retain heat. My only complaint is that I ordered a Cali-king and the dimensions on the bed I was sent we're 2.5" short and 1.5" thin. They have sent out another free of charge so will see.
For those that found the T&N to be too hard, I emailed them about my options and they offered to send a free topper, even though I bought it on amazon. That made it a lot softer. Although my back got used to the bed without the topper after about 3.5 weeks.
So I got that Cali king from Brooklyn. The first bed was small so they sent out another one. That one was also small but about the same size as the first one. Supposed to be 72 x 84. They are now sending out a 3rd bed but I'm starting to wonder if these companies are purposely cutting a couple inches off the bed to cut costs.
Anyone had good experiences with other brands outside of the major ones listed in title? i.e. like below
I bought a sleep innovations off of Amazon a couple years back. They don't have the exact one but mine was similar to this. Mine had "sure-temp" in the title. Not sure what it means or if it is all that important. I paid 420 and they are about $350 now.
Have since also tried the Leesa and just had the Nolah delivered. Thought the T&N may have been too firm, but in hindsight I was probably wrong. The Leesa definitely had too much give.
I think some of the mattresses can get hot, at least the memory foam type. My daughter has one (I haven't slept on it) but my wife has and says that its hot to sleep on. Maybe that's what they are inferring.
We plan on replacing our king that we bought off amazon for a new one after we get a new house. Any companies better than the other? Lisa is pimped in odcast I listen too
Just unpackaged and set up the two Bear mattresses we bought. King for the best friend and myself, and a full for the little one. So far extremely pleased but have not put in a full nights sleep. Will report back.
UPDATE: Full night of sleep put in and daaaamn that was good. My only complaint so far is edge support, but we all know you’re getting shitty edge support with these foam mattresses. Edit: It’s also not as firm as I expected it to be based off of the reviews. It’s definitely a medium firmness mattress.
Of what I've had so far: 1. T&N 2. Nolah 3. Leesa But I prefer a firmer mattress. If I preferred softer: 1. Leesa 2. T&N 3. Nolah Nolah has more off-gassing and is more expensive than T&N. Same firmness to me, and it also sleeps a little cooler I think.
We just purchased a house brand from Homemakers (Nebraska Furniture Mart sister company) and we love it. I believe they are called Omaha bedding and we got a king memory foam, we also purchased a mattress protector from them that cools also and love it. We've had it about a month now and I have yet to wake up warm or sweaty. I believe between the mattress and protector we spent around 1400.
Waiting for delivery of two T&N twins for the kids. We love our queen, we're hosting a Danish exchange student in a week, want him comfy, so we're finally getting better mattresses for the young'ins
Backing what someone said earlier - emailed T&N that the mattress was still too hard, and they sent a free pillow topper. Extremely comfortable while still being firm enough for my old ass joints. Huge fan, can't rec it enough. Will say I do find that it maintains heat opposed to being a cooler nights sleep
Got a T&N for our guest room to try out a mail-order mattress. Gotta say it's a lot thicker/heavier than I expected. Not sure what I was expecting but maybe thought it would look or feel cheaper than what it is. Satisfied from that. It is probably too firm for our bed though so might look at Casper or another. But overall pleased with the mattress in a box thing.
