Fire his fucking corner into the sun. That round never should have happened. Brutal. Just got his brain knocked around.
Agree but we've seen worse too. They did seem to care about him just were in over their head (both fighter and corner).
Maybe the WBO shouldn't make a guy that has never fought outside of Ghana the mandatory, oh nevermind Putting world class fighters in with guys like Ahmed invites this shit.
Solid flyweight bout Diago Higa vs Moises Fuentes is on BeIN late tonight if you're so inclined (get that channel). Supposed to go off at like 2 am ET I believe from Japan.
George Groves vs Chris Eubank Jr starts in about an hour, in the next round of the Super Series. Been looking forward to this fight for a while.
Streaming here I believe ... https://www.bloodyelbow.com/2018/2/...stream-results-round-by-round-scoring-updates
It's being shown on a new PPV arm of an entertainment channel here, not the boxing/sports channels for some reason.
Interesting fight, despite the announcers talking about Eubanks' hand speed, he needs to turn this into a brawl. The Groves jab is controlling the fight.
Hes very dangerous on the inside. Not a massive hitter, but throws some big combinations. Groves doing a great job nullifying him by tying him up though
Busy, potentially fun night of boxing. First card, starting now! FOX, 8:00 pm ET, Victor Ortiz vs Devon Alexander, Caleb Plant vs Rogelio Medina, Karlos Balderas vs Jorge Rojas. Ortiz-Alexander is either going to be two guys who desperately need a marquee-type win giving it their best, or a meeting of fighters who don’t have much in them anymore. Alexander lost three of four and took two years off before his return last November, a forgettable tune-up over Walter Castillo, and Ortiz is boxing’s ultimate wild card. There is really no telling what you’ll get, only that he doesn’t exactly have a record of responding well to adversity. Planet-Medina might really be the better fight here, but it also may not. If both Ortiz and Alexander are dialed in, this could have some sleeper potential — they’re 31 and 30, they’re not old.
SHO, 10:00 pm ET, Danny Garcia vs Brandon Rios, David Benavidez vs Ronald Gavril, Yordenis Ugas vs Ray Robinson. Rios’ mission here is to prove he has something left on this level, but this level has frankly never treated Rios kindly in the past, anyway. The closest to Danny Garcia he has in his past are Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley, and they both beat him up pretty good. But Rios says he’s rejuvenated and ready to prove everyone wrong, and Garcia hasn’t fought in about a year. The Benavidez-Gavril rematch is a good one on paper, and Ugas-Robinson is an eliminator at 147, with the winner in line for a shot at Errol Spence Jr.
Not much energy at the El Paso card. I blame El_Pato Could be the the lackluster fight though. Could be
