They used a terrible example imo. The valet service was actually supportive of one of Jimbo’s consistent reasons for wanting a football-only facility: the players can make better use of their time if they do not have to make long walks several times daily. There is no doubt that this is true. Also, I think it’s smart from a recruiting perspective. The real issue was not “entitlement”. Hell, football players at FSU have always enjoyed entitlements. The bigger issue was the lack of accountability. The author could have spent more time on that subject because it went deeper than described.
