Zombie survival game. First one was single player so you created or chose a safe house to build up with various things (kitchen, hospital, watch towers, etc., etc.) and you would go out and do missions/rescue people. State of Decay 2 will be online so you do all of those things but with 3 friends if you want. First one was pretty fun even though there was never online co-op (which they wanted to do but I guess MS told them to just work on their next game and include it there). I think it's going to be a lot more fun with online co-op.
Game throws you in the deep end and doesn’t explain anything, I’m just now starting for the first time.
Cool, I have that and 3 controllers I can trade in. Just looked up their trade in deals and they’re giving 25% extra for controllers, so I need to see how many pennies they’ll give me for that.
I will wait til the reviews come out on SoT and SoD2. Both look promising but my gaming budget is a bit down right now since I keep breaking controllers.
Been holding off on it....there aren't really a bunch of games I care about on Game Pass. I'm sure I will inevitably pull the trigger.
Everyone I hear is talking about SUPERHOT these days. Anyone given it a try? I think it's on the game pass.
It's free right now with Games with Gold. I saw something about it a while back talking about it being a must play game that no one talks about so I'm looking forward to trying it at some point now that I have it.
It is a lot of fun and very different, you have to think several moves ahead often. I have it for oculus too and it is super intense on there.
Played through it last night. Short game but very fun. Superhot Is the most innovative shooter I've played in years!
Sea of thieves is a fun game, I need a ton of stuff explained to me however, and I’m wondering how repetitive it’s going to get long term, but this is what game pass was made for.
One day when I feel like getting on Netflix I may hop on Sea of Thieves, and since they can’t kick you off the boat I’ll only move the controller enough to stay connected while they do all the work for me. Curious if that would work at all, or how much gold I could actually get doing that.
I think SoT will stay 'fun' for long enough. Maybe not for kids who forget to take their medication, but so be it.
Last night we chased a ship to port and the 4 pirates on their ship all jumped off with a chest. We chased them and killed them before cashing in all 5 of their chests or skulls. Then later we got attacked by a boat with gunpowder kegs on it. We took a ton of damage but boarded up. While they were firing on us one of the crew boarded their ship and took a gun powder keg to their lower deck and shot it. They sunk instantly. We went to a skeleton fort and fought through all the waves. Got 14k worth of items onboard after about 30 min. Then 2 ships start chasing us. We run. Eventually we end up in a storm and they are still chasing us. I jump off the back and grab a ladder on their ship as they sail by run and drop their anchor. They kill me and I respawn on my ship as we are coming out of the storm. 20k gold for the night 2 ships destroyed 5 items plundered and 1 sturdy ship that lasted the whole session. If this game is repetitive and every night goes like last night that's fine with me.
I’ve been playing my own solo sloop, and I decided to do three quests in a row with the golden key guy. Had two chests on my ship, ran into another guy and ended up getting sunk and losing them both
Had a 3 man galleon Crew last night that was a lot of fun. Destroyed two ships, did about half a dozen quests including one with a captains chest. At one point we had to scuttle our ship, but first had to salvage the two skull trophies to turn in to complete quests. One guy had to respawn to get a new ship at a port and sail to where we were to come pick us up. Only major issue is my gold wasn’t showing up after completing quests The game doesn’t hold your hand at all and there’s no real constant HUD so you have to communicate and coordinate. Your teammates icons don’t even show up unless they’re in your proximity.
It's up to Rare if this game sticks around or not. If they dump good content every couple of months I'll always come back but if that's not on the roadmap and what we have is all we get then it'll be a fun few months and that's it.
Understatement of the year, I had to look up how to do stuff online because it just doesn’t tell you anything.
Oh and there’s a proximity chat function. When we were attacking one of the ships, we could hear the other crew screaming. ‘Twas glorious.
It always blows my mind that proximity chat has gone away (for the most part). Halo 2 like 15 years ago had chat (and party system) that worked flawlessly. I don't know about the technicals but it seems insane.
Not going to lie. I was pretty annoyed when I played 2 nights ago. Here are my 2 gripes: -Solo ships and 3 person ships were not working in matchmaking. We spent more time than I’d like to admit trying to play a 3 person galleon before realizing. -I spawned without anything. In the 2nd game. I couldn’t pick up weapons from the armory. I didn’t have any weapons. All I had were the things I grabbed out of barrels.
Yeah, I expected more of the issues to be worked out with all of the beta testing and stress tests they did.
Few months? Game will be lucky to have much of a player base after a few weeks. They should’ve had player, or ship, progression.
While I like proximity chat, I will share a story from yesterday. Some pirate cunts sunk my ship and I swam under their boat and grabbed a ladder. They were chatting about our loot including our gunpowder barrels. "Where did you put the other gunpowder keg?" "Very bottom deck" That was all I needed to know. I was up the ladder sprinting for the bottom deck and hand my pistol pointed at the explosives in under 3 or 4 seconds. I hear "They're ONBOARD!" I fire my gun and Boom huge explosion on the lower deck Screen fades black and I can still hear them for a few seconds yelling and screaming but they were sunk. Felt good. Be aware of your surroundings in proximity chat.
47 straight -- You're the first one I thought of when seeing this: https://techcrunch.com/2018/03/19/players-lounge-lets-gamers-make-money-off-their-esports-skills/
Downloaded super hot, it’s really enjoyable.glad it’s free because it doesn’t feel like a game I’d pay more than like $9.99 for but it’s an enjoyable game. I’d almost put it in the problem solving/puzzle game genre of a portal which sounds weird because they’re totally different games, but that’s the game I think about most when I’m playing it.
Decided to disregard a sloop which was a bad idea because one of the crew bailed and snuck up on us, killed us and took all 3 of our chests
