Seriously though A stacked Mania card, even if it will take 9 hours Stacked NXT card Stacked ROH card A dozen other quality shows That’s going to be the best weekend of wrestling in history
In other news a big chunk of Thunder was added to the Network It’s all terrible and I’ll be watching all of it
Idk why but it feels like they are setting up a Charlotte and Mella feud. Curious if they have the streak end at Mania for Asuka. Doesn’t feel like the build has been nearly enough for it to happen but it’s vince.
Also love the Uso’s Promos have been fantastic to go with inring work. Best tag team in the world no question.
Something ironic about the day he is announced as cleared smackdown ends with him getting in a stretcher. Peak WWE.
I’d actually be super into this whole angle being “DB cleared to wrestle, then put back on the shelf by KO/Sami” that’s quality heat
Mustafa Ali can have my energy The guys on the second row that are REALLY into Gulak are cracking me up
Just got caught up on Smackdown. They freaking nailed that last segment. Everything was absolutely perfect. Too bad this angle is going to end in 3 weeks with Sami and KO taking a loss
Between Matt Hardy version 1, the feud with Edge, and the Broken/Woken character, Matt really is probably the most creative guy in wrestling. Or at least the guy willing to take the biggest character/ story risks.
Necessity is the mother of invention. I imagine being "the other Hardy" for so long made it necessary to stand out.
Tuesday night’s episode had a 0.99 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic and 2.888 million viewers. Those numbers were up 9% and 4% respectively from last week’s 0.91 demo rating and 2.771 million viewers. The numbers were the best since the April 11th, 2017 Smackdown, which had a 1.05 demo rating and an audience of 3.105 million. With the boost in numbers, Smackdown easily won the night among cable originals per Showbuzz Daily. It beat out H&G’s Fixer Uppers (0.72 demo rating, 3.447 million viewers) and the NBA game on TNT (0.71/1.604 million) for the top spot.
According to a new report, Vince McMahon believed that the Ultimate Deletion would bomb on this week’s episode of Raw. According to WZ, there was a belief backstage that Vince McMahon was concerned about how the match would deliver among the audience. The site also notes that WWE officials now consider the match to be a success, as it was the #1 trending topic worldwide on social media for hours and held over three million viewers for the third hour of Raw. It was reportedly “a struggle” to get the match on WWE programming at all, but following its success it is believed that Hardy could potentially be allowed to produce more content along that lines.
I know it's often said "that match is so hot it doesn't need a title" but man there's a reason so many title matches feel like letdowns after hot non-title matches. Put the title on the hottest person OR on the hottest program. I would have found a way to get the belt onto Ciampa going into the match
i don’t understand what Vince would be thinking if that is the case. what matt put on raw is exactly the reason Vince brought him and Jeff back in. We liked the gimmick in the trash pile that is TNA because it was different. We’ll like it in WWE because it is different. Just don’t water it down vince and you’ll have more money
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ronda Rousey was training this past week with Sara Amato, Lacey Evans, and Dakota Kai. Her WrestleMania debut has led to the mainstream interest in WrestleMania is at the highest level in years. Right now, there are a number of major outlets looking at covering the show for her angle. Right now the WWE production crew is planning to shoot three documentaries to be shot, one on WrestleMania itself, one on Undertaker’s comeback, and one on Rousey’s debut. Rousey’s debut also has received major interest from both ESPN and Fox Sports. WWE also want to shoot a number of Table for 3 episodes over WrestleMania weekend, possibly one with Rousey.
Hot take of the day, I'd be fine never watching Zack Sabre Jr. ever wrestle again. That guy just does absolutely nothing for me. Can't think of a more overrated wrestler.
I like him, but completely get where you are coming from. His style is definitely not what everyone wants to see in wrestling.
During a recent interview with alarabiya.net, Daniel Bryan cleared up rumors of when his contract expires. No, no. I had somebody say that to me on my Twitter. They said, does your contract expire on September 23rd? And I was like, how do people even know that. But no, my contract actually runs out September 1st, which is actually the day of the All In show, but it’s funny because that doesn’t compute. I was in the Bahrain Comic Con the last two days, and we did Q&As, and at each one, somebody asked me about that. They said, ‘are you going to be at All In’? I’m not. I don’t know what to tell you. But yeah, my contract is up September 1st.
I read the stream of comments that followed his tweet. One guy said "I read the article, aren't going to like it" or something. What? I specifically say "it's the best." People are weird.
Don't think Dave likes your work. And Stat Guy Greg keeps at minimum one cock of that circle jerk crew in his mouth at all times
