I am going to call my shot in that Stan is hurt that he let Oleg down and agrees to let him get out a family he works with and it ends up being Elizabeth and Philip.
it was quiet as hell, had to put the headphones on to see if he said "not bad" or "not ready" also I had been anxious about the reason behind that fight scene ever since season preview, thought at the time that Phillip looked like a reluctant participant and I really didn't wanna see what would lead Paige to attacking him
Best episode in a few years, imo. Need to go back and watch the beginning few episodes to see what originally tipped him off and had him snooping in their garage. My wife thinks Elizabeth convinces Paige to take the tablet and Elizabeth gets killed by Stan while he lets Phil and Henry get away.
Paige kills Stan IMO, and very possibly after Stan decides to let them go. That’s how I would write it anyway.
Did last night's episode end abruptly with Philip sitting on the couch with flashbacks to he and Elizabeth's secret wedding from a season or two ago or was there more after it?
Elizabeth is cold hearted. Straight up manipulating Paige. I keep on wait for her to have a moment of motherly concern, but every time she pushes Paige farther. I still think/hope Phillip flips and it somehow ends in a standoff between him and Elizabeth.
I'm a week behind (just finished last week's, starting last night's right now) but holy. Fuck. I love this season. It doesn't make up for the meh of last year, but God damn!
I was hoping there'd continue to be a bigger wedge between Phil and Elizabeth. She seems to come back to him a little bit.
Does everyone think the ship has sailed on Stan's lady friend being an illegal? Or maybe just a flipped American? I feel like most people suspected it early but it's been so long now that most have moved on but it could come back. Say Stan has P & E dead to rights and she fucking kills him out of nowhere or something and covers for them. Her quick ability to get an FBI interview that she acted surprised about and Stan was surprised about even though he mentioned it to Aderholt just kinda stuck with me for some reason. Like someone else manipulated things to get her foot in the door quicker for some reason.
theyre still dangling that out in front of us for sure no clue but still a chance it goes that direction
Agree with this. If there weren’t only 2 episodes left I would be interested in exploring it, but it would feel a little cheap if that’s the big finale. And if anyone has to “save” P&E by taking out Stan, I hope it’s Paige. I do think something will come of it though, just to justify the purpose of the character. Unless she was a red herring all along.
I WANT to believe that Stan’s gf is a red herring, but the way they’ve built up her character this season, I can’t see her NOT having something to do with the final outcome. My ideal finale involves Stan in a final confrontation with P&E, but letting them escape. As sort of an emotional/philosophical dilemma in which Stan bends his sense of duty for some human connection with them. But alas, I’m an idealist and Stan is a full-on patriot hardo, so there’s probably going to be a gunfight with main characters dying. Which, I guess I’m ok with, too.
Glad to see Elizabeth joining the good side. If she's gonna go out, want her to be next to Phillip. Seems inevitable that I'm gonna cry
I'll be disappointed if something significant comes out of the Stan's wife story line that, with only two episodes left, has been poorly fleshed out. I'll have a lot more respect for the show if they hired a semi-recognizable actress for a bit role and gave her a few suspicious lines/activities for the sole purposes of fucking with fans.
That seemed like a random phone call for Stan to make Edit: Actually that was the only person that Stan ever saw them with so it wasn't that random
I’ve loved this final season but gotta say that I’m a tad surprised/irked that they’ve punted on Stan finding out for sure till the finale. Seems like a lot to cover. Anyone know what the runtime is on next week’s ep?
Things are very topsy turvey at the office Damn That scene with oleg and Beeman in the cell was for the ages
I agree that they could have had more action the last two episodes. Lot to cover in the final episode. I still think Oleg makes a deal for them somehow and Stan finds out when it’s too late. It’s my original thought so I’m sticking with it. Phil running a 4.15 40 yd and getting away was great tv.
I think she dies and he lives but ends up either going back to Russia (which I don't think he wants) or in jail.
/Hamilton I think Philip and Paige live free (but maybe in Russia). Elizabeth sacrifices herself for her family. Stan lives. Oleg goes to jail. All of that will probably be wrong by 1130
