I chose Hulu live TV over YTTV just because I already do regular Hulu so it saves me money in the long run to just be on one app I havent noticed a difference
As a follow up to an earlier comment, any Sprint cell phone users, should get a Hulu subscription included in their plan.
Is this on all Directv Now plans? This would take the $55 package down to the same price as Hulu Live. Do you just use a Roku stick to access Directv Now?
Yeah, it's a great deal. I get $15 off the package, plus you get free hbo. That's hbo through directv now with access to the hbogo app. I watch it on Apple TV and then roku in the bedroom.
Showtime is an extra $8 which when I finish watching my shows I’ll cancel and just renew when they come back on.
From a performance standpoint YTTV's video compression is exponentially better. No big deal if you have a 500mb or greater connection but Hulu with a 100mb connection gets a little dicey.
I signed up for the DirecTV Now promo to get the free apple TV 4k and cancelled because I liked the YTTV experience better. Well my fiancee added DTVNow as she moved + transferred her AT&T internet because she wanted to cut the cord too. holy moly that interface is bad (not to mention, there were picture quality issues on multiple TVs) She is cancelling DTVNow and is using my YTTV access.
I saw an internet article that said YTTV has every channel in 1080p60. That is not the case, but I would imagine YTTV does support it for channel that affords them that option.
Noooo. I was probably going to do DTVNow. I called today and the price is about the same as Hulu Live but with more channels. I have Spectrum Business 400 mbps Internet. Would that help?
i know it has been said before but playstation vue was such a dumb choice for a name and it bothers me. feels like it convinces people that they need a playstation to watch. hire me to fix your brand you sony cowards
DTV Now's issue isn't the speed on the user's end. It's their side. When their system gets maxed out, picture and stream suffers badly. The interface isn't great, but it has definitely improved with each update.
I mean, I still use DTV Now because I have AT&T and it's cheaper. I was just told that I will still get free hbo with my mobile package, so I can now cancel DTV Now and switch to Hulu live or yttv. I'm trying out yttv this week to see how it goes. Sorry, can't tell you anything more than that. I will say that dtvnow is not unwatchable but a time or two a week. Unfortunately it's pretty much at times during big college football games and it forces me to watch them on the ESPN app.
Just talked to AT&T and they are doing a huge system upgrade and he said buffering issues will be obsolete by the end of November. He could be lying but there's several articles out about what they're doing to improve the system and they seem to be wanting a flawless experience
I also did the DTVNow AppleTV promo and I hated DTVNow so much. As for the AT&T/HBO promo, do you need DTVNow to get HBO for free or can you login to your wireless account on HBO Go?
No you create a dtvnow account then it’s automatically free once you verify your mobile number. Then you can sign into hbo app using the dtv login or use dtv app whichever you prefer.
New to the Firestick game and want to watch some movies. Any suggestions on the best movie apps to download? So far all I've downloaded are Kodi and TerrariumTV. I haven't started browsing them yet, though.
I'd go Hulu live personally. It seems like dtvnow is about the worst option from what I've read Reddit.com/r/cordcutters
Does DirectvNow still have that Apple TV deal? I’m doing the 7 day trial for YTTV right now. It’s really nice and convenient, but I can access everything I watch on there in a different app.
Was just at a friends house in my neighborhood, and he has DirecTV Now. Said it works flawlessly with no buffering.
I’ve had no problems with dtv now only thing is the interface on firetv takes a minute to get used to. That and the wife fucking up my favorites list.
I just switched from DirecTV Now to Vue because DTV Now’s DVR only having 20 hours of storage is aggravating as hell, and only having 2 streams at the same time possible is bullshit too. I had a buffering problem with it maybe 2-3 times a month for a minute or 2 but that was it, & I thought it was pretty easy to navigate on my Fire TV and Apple TV 4K. If they get the DVR capacity & number of streams included without paying extra to go up, I may go back, but doesn’t sound like that would be until early next year.
this may be narrow minded of me but i have no idea why anyone would not have youtube tv it is damn near perfect and i judge you if you don’t have it
no offense but those are hella dumb reasons to not have it considering the existence of netflix and youtube
I personally agree, but.....if all I watched was Comedy Central, NFL Network, and MTV then I'd hate it! Also, to be completely fair. If it's not available in your market yet then you're shit out of luck.
nature shows seem like an easily repeatable market idk i really only watch sports and anything i want to watch outside of that is easily accessible on netflix or youtube so perhaps i am biased
Those channels that much different from Nat Geo and Nat Geo Wild? Honest question as YTTV has those. I just don't watch any of them so curious
Get Philo as a side bitch for $16 a month Not being judged on the Internet is worth at least that much
Oh BTW, because of the 75 minute (or whatever it was) YouTube outage, they’re giving us a week of YTTV for free
Huh...never knew it was down. Just have to put your email in their form to get credit I guess. https://www.engadget.com/2018/10/19/youtube-tv-apologizes-for-outage-with-a-one-week-credit/
I got way more excited than I should have when I saw Nat Geo Wild was included since my wildly more expensive cable package didn't have it. Also, I find it hilarious that Xfinity decided dropping channels like ESPNU, a necessary for UNC football, from a package that post-intro rate costs $130 was a good idea.
Not sure what your family situation is, but I can’t imagine a time where we’d have more than 2 streams going at once.
