I love Stu so much. I know almost everything he does is for laughs, but it's still damn funny to me. Also, why does Dan think humor = a weird, loud voice? It's kinda his go-to when he's making an attempt to be humorous.
Gotta go with the long con on this. Wear it several times only for it to one day be Adnan Virk under there.
If you have never seen roy's realm on TV, watch the on demand of this episode. not even the best roy's realm but it's hilarious watching the shipping container every time.
This is not just Dan and Stugotz. Its every single DAMN espn radio show. But lebatard might be the worst. It's literally 40 minutes of commercials/advertising and 20 mins of actual show per hour. It's ridiculous and I cant stand it. I was listening like a week or 2 ago and they started the 10am hour at 10:01, and talked about nothing for 3 mins. Then teased a "big name" coming on the show in the next segment and was gone to commercials by 10:09. Are you fucking kidding me? This Is why people cant stand radio, its out of control. Dan patrick comes on and his first segment every hour lasts for 18-19 mins, his show is at least 35 mins of show and 25 of commercials. Which is tolerable
What does the show have to do with the commercials? I'm sure espn forces them to do this many commercials
just saying if you watch the replay on demand, its about 2 hours long. 66% show and 33% commercials is about standard for anything on TV
0% chance this show is 66% actual show, when they come on for 8-9 minutes and are in commercial break for 10
look at the on demand for yesterday on watchespn.com. only 1 30 second commercial per break and the episode length is 2 hours and 6 minutes.
I'm in my car and in an office setting most of the day. Talking strictly radio options here, no tv. Its bad and that's why I mostly listen to dan Patrick in the mornings in this timeslot
I always pull it up on the computer at my office, but it gives me the edited version with no commercials.
When I first started listening to the show it was still in the afternoon time slot. I’d catch it on my way home from work. A 30 minute commute and half or less than that would be actual show and mostly commercials so I get where your coming from. Since they moved to the morning I have to listen to the podcast so it doesn’t bother me anymore. Each radio hour podcast is usually like 35-37 minutes, with a minute or so of ads on each episode. Does seem like an uneven amount of showtime to ads to me but podcast and idc.
I hated the show at first and only listened because Jay Mohr got taken off at the same time slot. What turned the tide for me was when Dan got Tim Commerford on each day for a week. Tim was the bassist in rage against the machine, my favorite band and the reason why I started playing bass. I was hooked from there.
Started listening when it was Dan and Boog Schambi with Hock on the board. It was a little sports with copious nonsense, which was a great change of pace from overnight sports talk.
Holy fuck that came out sounding way more hipster than I meant. $2 and I’ll be in the box for 2 mins. My apologies
What year was that? The Tim commerford stuff was February 2015 so that’s around the time I started listening.
I don’t remember dan and boog. I remeember listening to the first Dan and STU show where dan demanded that every caller start off with first time/long time.
